We have her to thank for everything Stan Lee ever did in the Silver Age. He was gonna quit comics altogether, frustrated with all the repetitive monster and sci-fi stories he was writing, but Joan convinced him to stay a little longer "Before you quit, why don’t you write one comic you are proud of?”. And thus he stayed and wrote a superhero team book like Martin Goodman requested, which ended up being the Fantastic Four. The rest as they say, is history.
