>>
>>93674659
Hopefully some day
>>
>>93674659
Hopefully never. It was boring as fuck.
>>
>>93676533
I guess we can't all have good taste.
>>
They should made done this with traditional cels.

Hopefully after Jackson's other movie like I believe another Anon said in a thread not too long ago.
>>
>>93674659
Would you like to have it be done by Spielberg or not ?
>>
Didn't the failure of Mars Needs Moms pretty much killed the Motion-capture genre?
>>
>>93680686

This, motion capture is dead. If they ever make another Tintin movie it will have to be done in a different medium.
>>
>>93680660
Not that Anon but they have said they would take turns directing the Tintin movies. But I suppose your question still stands.
>>
>>93680686
Mo-cap isn't a genre. It's a technique.
>>
>>93680660
Spielberg is a fucking hack.
>>
>>93678323
>They should made done this
>>
They're working on it right now. Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg are still on it and they still plan to make another one after.

I guess only the french speaking folks are keeping on eye on it.

So Tintin 2 is going to be a adaptation of Les Sept boules de cristal and Le Temple du Soleil, btw

I thought they were doing the two space books for the second movie? Or am I thinking of the third film they had planned?
>>
>>93685709
Spielberg wants to do the space books in a possible third movie yes
>>
>>93684312
I think he wanted to do it earlier, but the Hobbit took longer than expected and he wanted a break from film after the production because it was a horrible experience. Prisoners Of The Sun has been in pre-production for a while now. Likely will go into full production soon.

>>93680686
Not really. It killed it at Disney for sure even when Christmas Carol did well for them, but Tintin was a big international success. But then looking back on it, Mars Needs Moms would have been a godawful film no matter what animation style they used or even live action. So blaming that is silly in hindsight since it wasn't the medium that made it terrible (It sure added to it though).

>>93685960
If I remember right, they want to do the Space books as a co-directed project since it's likely going to be Spielberg's last film (Dude's pretty old now).

this is just my opinion, but i don't like hyper realistic cartoons. but i would like to see a sequel tho.
>>
>>93674659
I WANT IT
>>
I remember this movie looking so shitty in previews and stuff so I didn't watch it when it got came out. It was showing on a bus or something and I realized it was cartoon-kino.
I am a lazy fuck, are there any other good Tintin adaptations? I am interested to see if any mimic the style of the comic.
>>
>>93688179
There was a Canadian cartoon in the 90s that was very faithful to the comics' style. Watch it, its pretty good.

It can't come soon enough, OP.

>>93688179
>>93688211
Beat me to it. That was a very solid cartoon.
>>
>>93688211
Thanks anon! I'll check it out.
>>
>>93688179
The 90s cartoon was a pretty solid adaptation of most books in the series. Herge's Alpha Line translates pretty well to animation.
>>
>>93688211
The opening is so fucking fantastic.
>>
>>93688211
That opening is wonderful. I wish they had used it somehow in the movie.

TinTin was a great movie, not surprising when you look at the screenwriters.

Speaking of good animated movies, watch the original french dub of this, its fucking brilliant.
>>
>>93680686
Good. Maybe now we'll get a traditionally animated movie.

Thanks reddit grammer bot. Your the best.
>>
>>93674659
If there's no word of it before 2021, we'll assume Jackson and Moffat are jackasses with no sense of cinematic success.
>>
>>93688211
Yeah, this is a comic book adaptation done right. Extremely faithful to the comics both art and story wise, and with a brilliant theme song to boot.
