I guess this is a good time to revisit that opinion. I've seen many people recently say they rewatched the Raimi Spider-man movies and notice large flaws of 2, mainly with the weak motivations of Doc Ock and the horrible Mary Jane romance.

I can't help but agree. Spider-man 1 is the best out the three because, despite the cornier scenes and less choreographed action, SM1 still has more memorable characters, a more solid plot, and a more grounded ending than 2 or 3.

The corniness of 1 is what made it so great. It always feels very genuine, and the action scenes have a lot of character in them. The warehouse fight is still one of the best fight scenes in a superhero movie for the atmosphere and sense of urgency and eventually triumph it gives the audience.

I find 1 to be the best, but 2 is fantastic. 3 is weak, but it has some good moments.
