I don't and haven't even read it yet, but it's fairly important to comics for a large number of reasons. I'm hesitant to say this without having read it myself yet, but it's one of those things like a lot of people don't feel you're a comic fan if you haven't read Watchmen, just like you can't really call yourself a film buff if you haven't seen Citizen Kane and you're not really into science fiction if you haven't read 2001. That sort of thing.

It's the most selling graphic novel in history if I remember right.
It's always available pretty much everywhere, and think it overrated or not your type it's worth owning no matter how ya look at it.
>>
>>93661674
If ya got the receipt return it.
If ya can't either sell it for pennies at a used book store or write it off as ya donate it to local library (unless you're a fellow poorfag doing standard deduction).

I'd buy it from ya if I can trust ya enough to mail and trust me to send to you in mail cash.

And give it a lil bit of online reading before purchasing more.

I use IKEA shelves (Ekby Hemnes, maybe) along with wall mounted rails from another Swedish company and I think that's a pretty nifty solution if you want something that's a little more airy than a regular shelf. It's a sturdy enough solution in most regards, though I have to use bookends to keep everything in place.

I'm also kind of in love with the Kallax/Expedit shelf but it's pretty bulky and not really a perfect fit for comic books.
>>
>>93663417
Yeah I already preordered the Yokoyama book from Retrofit's kickstarter. So happy it's actually getting released since picturebox folded.

My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness is pretty alright. She's weird and neurotic enough to make autobio work and there's a lot there that resonated with me.

Retrofit is a pretty great publisher. I think they're working with Holmberg on the Yokoyama book. I'm really glad he got enough attention from the Picturebox books to let him work with all the publishers he's working with now.

Read it online via download and play catch-up as I can.
Also monthly releases means it takes them 5-6months to put out the next trade so plenty of time to catch up.

I got into comics when Blackest Night was coming out around 2008-2009, and I was able to catch up from Rebirth to Emerald Eclipse in like a week of reading and a proper reading order (shout out to 00s /co/mrades).

Does anyone own the Beasts of Burden trade? Is it decent quality-vise?
>>
>>93680324
I have never, ever tried to stay "current" and I read mostly reprints. I'm pretty with it up until the mid 90's w/Marvel, but that's just a side effect of reading what I want over time.
I don't get buying Marvel floppies at all- it all shows up on unlimited in 6 months for pennies on the dollar.
>>
>>93681018
>out of stock everywhere in the UK

I'm slighty mad.
>>
>>93684702

the other factor is that Marvel has been pumping the prices of their books both floppy and trade for years now...

I'm not sure that they realise that ppl in other countries are effected by an exchange rate, here in Canada a $3.99 floppy is $5.50+ , to say nothing of the MEGA BLOCKBUSTER WORLD CHANGING EVENT titles they price at 4.99 or even 5.99 when they're feeling particularly greedy.

Add on top of that a majority of their books aren't even worth reading and .... yeah at my LCS nobody is buying Marvel now....
>>
>>93685062

Canadafag here. I am still buying Ultimates^2 cause I really like it and was buying Moon Knight. But those prices are too high for more than that IMO. Besides, I can find cheap trades of old and better stuff than most of it now.

>>
>>93685062

Technically speaking we can order from IST, but they charge enough for "international" shipping that with the inevitable customs charge for crossing the border makes IST's most excellent savings basically moot.

Devolver Digital's merch store, called the "Gamer's Edition".
Comes with a physical version of the comic they made for HLM2, but it's pretty small, and the spine's just staples, so I keep it in the box.

Does Vinland Saga really have that one one-shot in all five volumes like MAL said?

was he any good? I assume he would do a good Wolverine, which fuck it anyone was playing with him. But did he do any of the others well?

I like him but he doesn't do women well

>Tried typing in the Italian title?
You made me feel like an idiot there for a second, but a bit of googling isn't turning up another title. Fairly certain it was WITCH in Italy too. Even searching for the names of the issues or story arcs isn't helping. I'm honestly pretty shocked, I would have thought they'd be a bit easier to find.

So I think my best bet is ordering from an Italian second hand comic store. Any suggestions anyone?

Here are my recent purchases. My buying has slowed since the book store I worked in liquidated last year.

Here is my shelf of graphic novels. I can't believe I'm fixing to need a third shelf with how big this shelving unit is.

And my manga shelves. I didn't get into collecting them until around last year. I need to fill in the gaps and catch up on the latest releases for my series. I want to collect Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid as well.

Too late, temptress.
Already making plans for my funeral plot for one, and my small house value in comics to go to a local library upon death.

Not bad but too much Palahniuk. Otherwise pretty comparable taste to my own.

Leave some comics with girls on the cover for the rest of us, Anon.
But I can't judge since I don't think I've read ANY of that. Heard good things about most of them, though.
Something about Zombie Tramp's art makes me not wanna give it a chance. Which is weird cause I love all things Zombie.

Nice.

The artist frequently changes every few issues which is confusing. But I can still dig it.

Not only is it one of the best selling comics and most hyped by normies, but it actually is one of the best. Most comics are either one or the other. Hush for example sells great and normies love it, but its shit.

They were 50 cents each. Used book stores here sell stuff for like $9 even when damaged.

How's Galko-chan? The art style of the manga puts me off. Can't believe how fast they are releasing it while people like Viz simulcast manga same day but release the volumes months after Japan.

I like it. It's a informal sketch kind of art but it doesn't look incomplete. I find it very attractive art. And yeah, they are just throwing these out pretty damn quickly. The translation is great though. Non of the awkward shit you get when reading the fan translation on the internet.

Why do you think I want the comics? She was my first waifu.
