Why is this show hardly talked about? I feel like it would of been really succussful had it aired on Cartoon Network or adult swim.

It was created by Chris Pearson and Dan Mandel and also starred Dave Foley and Paget Brewster, giving truly funny performances as Dan's best friend and wife respectively. Dan Vs. actually won an Emmy this year for direction for Dan Angel and was among my favorite past times. It has been canceled, for the baffling and inexplicable reasons that shows like Dan Vs. get canceled. I can't really explain it because it has never been explained to me. Occasionally I would ask about the status of the show and be told that it wasn't canceled, but when I would ask about specifics, there would be long, awkward pauses and then changes to other subjects, like the weather or the possibility of a government shut down (this was the previous government shutdown, which gives you an idea how long this has been going on.) Finally, I had to just give up and move on with my life. This is actually not uncommon in my business. Things just sort of fade away, with an noticeable absence of closure. You can't help dwelling on it for a time, but eventually the whole thing just becomes a sort of fragrant memory. Some fragrances, of course, are sweeter than others: I'm happy to say that in the case of Dan Vs., they are, pretty much across the board, sweet. I loved everyone I worked with, the company was great, the network was supportive and, of course, the fans were rabid and vocal in their enthusiasm. The checks cleared, it's out on DVD and it was fun and you can't really ask for more than that

I was thinking that'd be a good series finale, or season finale, if the creators were willing to so dramatically change the dynamic.

In the aftermath of a severe attack on Elise's agency which left her in charge of just a little bit of absolutely everything, Dan learns of Elise's dirty little secret on the day Chris is supposed to return from a vacation he took in Mexico (a bizarre impulse decision he made after getting tired of Elise exhibiting especially suspicious, out-of-character behavior while she deals with the aftermath of her agency's fall).

Unfortunately for him, Dan was unable to take any evidence before having to flee Elise and her katana.

The episode becomes an all-out-brawl with Elise desperately looking for the schematics of the memory-erasing process mentioned in the series finale, leaving traps for Dan all over Los Angeles as he in turn tries to evade the traps and take down Elise, who used the agency's resources to both take out all electronic communications within the city and prevent Dan from revealing anything to the media by using her footage of his previous schemes to make him out to be a revenge-crazy lunatic - which, while not all that far from the truth, turns him into a laughing stock nobody would ever believe, and the city's #1 fugitive.

So, in this 2-part special, Elise will have to face off against the worst of the attack's fallout, as well as Dan, who has to evade rabid wolves, drones from Pakistan, gangsters, the LAPD, a gang of tween hooligans straight outta military school, and everything the most dangerous spy in the country can throw at him.

In the meantime, Chris feels sorry (as he always does) for abandoning Dan and Elise, so wants to get back to the States RIGHT on time so he not only doesn't have to feel sorry anymore, he can make sure he doesnt look sorry.

Unfortunately, his fun was cut short when, while buying some tourist trap souvenirs, he's kidnapped by a cartel. Now, Chris has to get across the border.
