You know how a joke that you see coming from a mile away makes you angry? Well this is that but in casting form.
Angry screaming black boss was already such a cliché in the 90s that it's in Last Action Hero. Ice Cube was also a parody of that in the recent Jump Street movies.
And now you want to play that straight? Fuck having JJJ being an angry white guy in the Raimi movies was borderline refreshing in comparison to 90% of American movies with an angry boss.
