I remember seeing an anon on here saying it was a bitch working on these because of the director. The Rocket & Groot and Ant-Man shorts were more entertaining than anything they come up with in house. Hell, it was the same case with the Lego shorts.

They need to just outside their shows or something because whatever they're doing isn't working.

I haven't seen it in years, so it probably really looks like shit, but I remember the twisted whiskers show doing similar things. If the Hub could produce that, I think it's bullshit that Marvel can't afford to do a series like this.

I know it's business, and they want the mist profit for the least cost but this is a creative business. They need to stop being so goddamn cheap and put some effort and money into having quality programming. A few good looking shows won't bankrupt Marcel. They were doing better before they even had the Disney bankroll and resources.

What gets to me the most about that cartoon is how colorless it is. Everything is too muted, which is a shame, because Gunn's films are very colorful.

What I hate most about the show is the artstyle. It's not even like it's objectively bad or anything, it just feels like they gave it the least amount of effort while still being passable, and it just comes across as incredibly boring.

God, I love how Gunn portrayed space in the GOTG movies. It looks like the result of someone's food coloring and milk challenges, and it looks fucking amazing.

That's the Marvel Animation way. They take what might have been funny in the movies and make it feels like kids jokebook humor. They keep trying to make funny shows but it's not working. And all the VAs seem to be directed to just screech their lines. I love Will Friedle but he's super annoying whenever they use him, it's weird. Even with Drake Bell, when you compare him on EMH or the Lego shorts with Ultimate Spider-Man, it's like night and day.

The Space Phantom was great too, but I liked the relationship R+G had. Of course a few people on The Site That Must Not Be Named (or one of those anyway) are saying the whole series is almost a stealth shipping tribute to Rocket/Groot.
