I think Seasons 2 and 3 were both really solid. Because all of the episodes I named + the Thrawn ones make up basically the whole season.

Nah, it's really not that bad. I don't think Rebels has any really "worst" episodes. It has some meh ones that still have enjoyable aspects, some good ones, some great ones, and some amazing ones.

There hasn't been a single worthwhile show in the entire lot since this side of the millennium, and they stopped showing reruns of anything decent from before 2000, like the countless hours of Mickey/Donald/Goofy shorts, the classic movies, the cartoon shows, the movie based animated series, etc, and none of it has ever been anywhere near matched by the soulless garbage they've pumped out since then. The reason people aren't watching is because there's nothing they want to watch, not because of marketing.

How come there is such a divide between "normies" and "fans"?

Normies fucking loved The Force Awakens. It was a huge box office success. It received high critical praise. All the rewievers loved it. It is regarded well among the public. Rogue One? Less so. It still did good and was received positively by the critics, but not overwhelmingly so like TFA. Normies liked it less than TFA. A lot of them complain that it was boring, or had less memorable characters, or had too much fan pandering.

And yet, for the fans it's the other way round. We criticise the shit out of TFA, for being a bland copy of ANH and for fucking up the post-ROTJ universe, and we praise RO for being an amazing movie that took risks and delivered an original story. On /swco/, and other places where hadrcore Star Wars fans hang out, pretty much everyone agrees that RO is superior to TFA. And we even got people like Pablo and Lucas sharing the same sentiment. But not the general public.

Why is the perception so much different when you're really into the franchise?

Reading Catalyst just makes it better. It's an okay movie on it's own, I see what it was going for. Here's my fresh hot opinion. The first half was very mediocre, and the second half, after the destruction of Jedha was where it got good, it turned into a war movie, and I see what it was going for. Catalyst just explains Galens role, and Krennic a whole lot better.

Krennic just seems like a whiney bitch in the film, and the book explains that he just wanted emperor senpai to notice him, and why Tarkin screwed him off so hard. He was hoisted by his own petard. It's pottery.

That's why he tries to backstab everyone he meets. But he pissed off Tarkin, by trying to out-Tarkin him (which you do not do) and it came back to bite him in the ass. I really liked her. There was never that 'girl power' moment. There wasn't a moment where someone goes 'but you're a girl' and she punches them in the face. it felt like she was just a character. Which I really liked. The scenes with her and Galen were really emotional, especially when he is talking about the Death Stars vulnerability, and that's kudos to mads, because he is fucking incredible as an actor. But she was there, and her gender wasn't her entire character.

She's definitely way better than Rey, in terms of strength. there are times where she does need saving, she's more than "STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMAN WHO DON'T NEED NO MAN". I liked her personally, and I can see why people don't. But if you say she's a mary sue, you have no idea what that word means. Not that you are. That's just my issue with normies who say that.

Yeah, I agree. She wasn't the MOST developed. I thought the novel did a good job of explaining why she was so fucking jaded. She had it rough.

I think she served her purpose. I'd rather have a girl character who is emotional and it's not played off as a bad thing, rather than another Rey. Cassian was kind of a cunt to her at times, too. I think that if they had cut it down by one or two, it would have been perfect. But for now, it works. I enjoy it. I think they didn't want us getting attached because it's pretty dark that they all die in the end, juuuuuust after winning. I think it was because normies would be turned off if characters they got attached to died. They had to keep their audience somehow.

overall, it's a decent movie. I do have my issues with it, it is by no means perfect. But that ending was fucking amazing

Vader's flagship only came in at the end of the battle after the Rebel fleet was already worn down.
