>“Marvel Legacy #1 isn’t simply a history lesson,” describes SVP and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort. “Rather, it’s the starting gun to a bevy of mysteries, secrets, and revelations that will reverberate across the Marvel Universe in the weeks and months to come! No character, no franchise will be untouched by the game-changing events that play out across its pages. Jason and Esad pulled out all the stops to fat-pack this colossal issue with as much intrigue, action, surprise, mystery, shock, and adventure as possible!”

>In addition to showing readers how Marvel history and continuity is “all connected,” the publisher promises the special will provide "shocks, twists, clues, and Easter eggs," set up the next year of Marvel storytelling and 53 MU series, and will feature a series of character returns, including "the most talked about return in comics."
>Oh ... and the debut of the 1,000,000 BC Avengers - Odin, Iron Fist, Starbrand, Ghost Rider, Phoenix, Agamotto, and Black Panther - who come together for origin of the Marvel Universe.

According to a recent Thor issue, it was created a long time ago but sat in a vault until Thor was of age. They make a point to mention that Odin may have wielded it before. I'm pretty sure actual Norse legends are similar.

Probably Starbrand.

What about Tuk the Cave Boy?
>>
>>93616280
And then Kang the Conqueror shows up
>>
>>93617796
Yeah, I was actually mildly hype for this cause I assumed it would use Tuk and tie all of this back. Having him be The First Avenger is literally perfect and ties everything back to Captain America #1. They could have even snuck in some Inhumans shilling that way.

But nope, this takes place in 1,000,000 BC and Tuk is from 100,000 BC.

>>93618026

You can't have naked Phoenix because Wakanda invented clothes BUT you can have Odin being capable of lifting Mjolnir again.

So, they are giving reigns on how to shape entire Marvel universe to a dude who wrote X-men Schism, writes abysmal Star Wars ongoing, wrote Whor and basically gets carried fucking solely on artists and overall an mediocre at best writer.

Remember why Thor has become unworthy? Neither does Aaron, but he wrote that shit and I hope he's still getting hangover from that.

And his idea of a good story for entire universe is introducing pre-historic versions of characters like it's a Saturday morning cartoon by DiC or Hanna Barbera.

Before you go I just hate fun, yes, I actually legitimately think Jason Aaron is one of the biggest cancers in creative staff of Marvel and last several years is my proof. Not only because he wrote Whor, I don't think his Star Wars is any good, I didn't think his Punisher was any good (just "le edgy" humor, just "le Kingpin was assraped in the ass" just the stuff Zack Snyder likes), I didn't think his initial run on Thor was that good (art is good, writing is mediocre at best). I think giving him power of writing a plot that will influence years of Marvel storytelling sounds as fucking solid as giving DC cinematic universe to Zack Snyder.

Gods are magical beings that might as well look depending on the beholder, or "have a form you are comfortable with", or whatever. I was just musing on humans (real beings) inventing clothing later on, at least in our world.

>>93618186
Maybe. Although, in that case, humanity should be more advanced from the start, if they are already Mesolithic by 1,000,000 BC.

However, keeping with the themes of Wakanda, it's also possible that the first, Wakandan homo sapiens never left Wakanda, while the rest of the world evolved from less advanced humans.

They and Loki each made three gifts for the angry gods and if they chose the dwarves' gifts over Loki's the dwarves could have his head. Except Loki cheated them and subsequently had his mouth sewn shut.

I agree this looks like shit but why do you think anyone should care about some cheap fuck like you? Of course you don't care about something you haven't invested time or money into.

You're worse than trade-waiters, who unsurprisingly also hate canon. I find people that buy floppies for a couple of years start to become more canon-fags because they realize what it feels like to have spent a few years investing in a story for it to be retconned.
>>
>>93619427
Do they have any plans for them? We've got Celestials but that doesn't mean anything.

It's going to be an issue of things happening at different points in time that builds to some mystery and return of a person. Basically vignettes on the Cavengers, Silver Age Avengers, and modern Avengers then a bunch of teasing and advertisements for other stories that will be having said arcs happen under the Legacy banner. It'll probably be a double-sized issue of nonsense with solid art by Ribic with mediocre writing and any """"big twists"""" will just get posted around everywhere anyways so it's hardly like you'd have to get the issue to find out.

But who knows, maybe it'll somehow be good. Whether it is or not, it's still just a one-shot.

Homo sapiens wasn't around either in 1,000,000 BC.

I could accept Wakanda being the oldest human civilization. I could! It would make some sense, and it could even be funny. "So you see, doctor Richards, modern-day Wakanda is actually a mere latter-day remnant of what once was a continent-spanning empire of peace and plenty."
