What went wrong?
Everyone knows it was because of the porn

Yeah, this is documented well enough to be right on the Wikipedia page. She was, in a sense, too damn sexy for her own good.
People were remembering the character, but not so much the brand (that was never me personally, I remembered her as the Esurance girl). This view has some scientific merit, with studies suggesting that sex doesn't so much "sell" as get attention, which doesn't necessarily translate into sales or brand name retention.

You guys aren't kidding. I just googled the image and all I got was articles about sexy female cartoon/anime characters. Nothing on what she's advertising
>>93598948
I thought she was legit cute but that her agent stories being around insurance was forced as fuck.
Did she ever get together with that guy at the end?
She didn't make anyone want to buy car insurance.they just wanted to fap
>>93600720
There's porn of Erin x Flo.
>>93600720
That's incredibly unfair, cause ain't nobody WANTS to buy car insurance. Fact of the matter is that you HAVE to buy car insurance, or else some old fuck in a black robe will issue you a hefty fine, and if you refuse to pay it, a bunch of people in blueish black outfits will beat you up and lock you up in a small room.
So really, the whole idea of advertising insurance is horrifically condescending.

I get what you're saying, but on the other hand if you have to buy insurance, then it stands to reason that would push a degree of market competition justifying ad campaigns.
>>93598948
Flo killed her.

Just did some googling, can confirm.
No one gave a shit.
>>93603275
She does win on the sexy rating, though.
>>93603275
>Almost as many people thought Clippy was "funny" as people thought Erin was "sexy"
Ouch.

If someone can be turned on by tile patterns, then anything is possible
>>93600431
>people remembering the character, but not the brand
The commercials went out of the way to say her name every time, usually more than once. Slick gams or not, you'd think people would hear "Erin Esurance" echoing through their ears.
>>93603275
Surprised more people don't think the Gorton Fisherman is sexy.
Erin, baby, you're too sexy and beautiful for insurance companies.
>>93600490
a lot which originated here, btw

Well, they are wrong.

I see you also browse reddit. FAGGOT

You are forced to buy car insurance, but that means there's a guaranteed market and you get to pick who you give your insurance tax dollars to.
I don't see why you think advertising for insurance in a market with competition is condescending.

normies are too embarrassed to admit they find cartoons sexy
>>93600893
It ain't gonna Google itself.

Shedidn't cum inside me
>>93598948
She was shoved into the series without enough prior development, so it didn't make sense that Jack would fall in love with her so quickly, since it had never been a love story prior to that. She ended up distracting from what could have been a great ending.

This. Contrast how Erin's sexy scandal was hushed up and retired, vs. how Progressive leaned into Flo being waifu material.
