the problem is that the drawing is never properly inked so the raw pencils are darkened giving it that scratchy unfinished look
the style of shading would look much better with proper line work

I like the line work but it doesn't fit the digitally painted style of modern comics. It'd look a lot better hand painted or uncolored.

In general, I'd like to see more comics in black & white to accentuate the linework, but it doesn't really suit the by-design metallic sheen of the Big Two's house styles.
