The same reason why the mouse wears an aromatherapy necklace and keeps dirt in her hair, and why there's an edgy teenager from a Catholic family that dresses like there was a blue light sale at Pentagram Jewelry, Excessive Eyeshadow, and Hot Topic Surplus. The wiccan subculture attracts interesting subsets of life, and womyn-born don't represent the eccentric cosplay shut-in life as well as non-womyn-born.

It also doesn't help that we probably wouldn't know Clara's thing it if the artist wasn't inundated with lavish praise and wafuism for the cute goat girl. I can only imagine what her inbox looked like before the reveal.

I don't know. Apparently it's a secondary project related to something called Bagbeans and Itty Bitty Kitties concepts she'd made a while back. I'm not so deep into the hip amateur artist scene that I can translate that, but I'm guessing it's related to Critter Coven the same way Killer7 is related to The Silver Case: different stories told similar ways, with thematic consistency and maybe a winking reference to one another.
