I would suggest starting off with a redesign that's not so obtuse. Had to look up who this was supposed to be and I can't say it's a good redesign, despite being a good design in it of itself. It's lacking pretty much any significant identifier of the original to latch on to.

Though he does look like the kind of guy who would be called Tony.

I wonder why people wants to make heroes stop looking like heroes or turn them black people.

I mean redesigning is taking something and make it more efficient, or give it a new looks, not completly change the concept.
