what's your favorite pixar movie?
Incredibles and Ratatouille are unmistakably the best Pixar films.
Wall-E is pretty GOAT too.

There's a reason for that, as soon as Disney acquired Pixar, they pillaged it for tallent, that's why Disney movies had a jump in quality and Pixar's a decline.
>>93555668
The Incredibles followed closely by WALL-E

Great film, great characters, garbage ending.

Gonna have to say Finding fucking Nemo.

That's easy. They have a lot of good films. What's their absolute worst ones? A populist would go for Cars, but it's obviously Up. Cars were simply for tiny tots instead for the whole family, Up is boring, manipulative garbage that deserved to lose to literally everything else at the Oscars.

It's a complex problem. We didn't really give a shit whether the humans return or stayed in space. Maybe some parallel storyline about people we could care about on the ship, or at least some pressing matter like the ship was slowly falling apart and needed to return to Earth for the humanity to survive. Like a parallel with the ship AI's madness: the ship both mentally and physically failed. But the first would probably dilute the fantastic Earth scenes and the second might not have helped because who the fuck cared about those blobs the humans became?
Pretty much the whole second part needs a rewrite. Beginning is GOAT, the middle is a mixed bag with WALL-E and EVE scenes being good and the human scenes being meh, but the "culmination" is just a complete let down:
>we, the audience don't care whether humans can come back to Earth
>the humans themselves don't really care
>even the protagonist doesn't care because that is not his function or what he was technically working toward
A proper sci-fi novel with the same beginning and middle would end with a FU to humanity: the people became obese blobs, unable to care for themselves or function outside of zero-g so all of WALL-E's and EVE's efforts were in vane.

Well, at least they recognized that they suck and used the new talent to improve, instead of dragging them down into mediocrity as well. Too bad Pixar had to fucking tank for it. Lets hope they didn't change the Pixar model and it will hopefully produce more talented people.

i see what you mean, but the captain's reaction to wall-e and Eve show the humanity we can relate to. At first he is apathetic to the concept of returning, but as he learns about what used to be and saw the beauty of the plant, he slowly came around to going home. I get your point about the parallel storyline. There really was no threat to any of the characters. The Axiom could have remained in space and that could be that.

Seeing some pictures is a really weak motivation for wanting to go somewhere. Especially considering modern Earth looked nothing like that. He was like a kid seeing colorful parrots and plants in a book about Africa who's going to arrive to dilapidated mud huts in a wasteland.
We would have needed a fleshed-out character who saw the error of what humanity has become and would have a strong drive to recover both the Earth and it's people to greatness. But that takes away focus from the robots. This is why I said the problem is complex. It needs a complete overhaul of the movie potentially destroying the really good parts. That's probably why the ending ended up sucking: they recognized how much they needed to change for a fix.
>>93565921
Well that's just wrong. Go fap to some Aka6 and apologize for your error. Horse dicks are only rivaled by dog dicks in how fun they are.
