I’m re-watching Island with two friends that have never seen the series. The last episode we seen was Tyler’s elimination in Factor Phobia. For now they say that it’s kinda predictable and some parts are literal bullshit (remember Cody during Dodgebrawl), but they enjoy the formula of the series.

As for me, re-watching the series makes me see that it’s more cringy that I remember.

We know that Duncan is coming back because his VA confirmed it, and Brian Froud is coming back as well meaning that either Harold or Sam will be a contestant.

I think this implies that the cast of the new season will be characters whose voice actors are readily available. This rules out Beth, Cody, Tyler and Ezekiel as contestants.

I also think that a season in 2019 will rule out any characters who didn't spend much time on the show as they won't want to bring back people whose last appearance was 12 years ago. This rules out underdogs we'd all like to see come back and [your waifu].

I imagine this new season's cast will be similar to All-Star's with maybe some PA/RR characters thrown in.
