assuming none of the current ongoings get creative changes, I'll probably keep reading whatever I'm currently reading.

and the 3 new books depend on creative teams really.

nothing about this makes me want to drop books, but its not going to make me pick up anything I'm not currently already interested in either though.
>>
>no creative teams announced

Literally who gives a fuck

Also homage covers are stale and uninspired

Why not rename X-Men Gold and Blue to just Uncanny X-Men and X-Men and give them their legacy numbers or whatever.

I understand it as you don't really want to change a book's title mid-series

but they're doing it to deadpool, totally awesome hulk, and she-hulk so....no clue really.

I kind of find it funny that Alex Ross is still sticking with the purple costume color of early 60's Spider-Man issues, because Ditko outright said that was a color change by Stan (basically in the first issue of ASM, since the Fantastic Four guest-starred, Lee wanted Spider-Man to have a different shade of blue because his was too similar to the FF)

http://www.dialbforblog.com/archives/695/ditko4.html

>STEVE DITKO: "My original color combination was a warm, red-orange on the webbing section and a cool blue on the body parts. These colors made a nice contrast, they emphasized the webbing and added to the mystery mood. Spider-Man's blue was changed to a warm purple (it gets warmer, redder, in later issues, ruining the better contrast and mood)." (Steve Ditko, The Comics, v.12 #11, Nov. 2001)

http://www.dialbforblog.com/archives/695/ditko5.html

>Ditko said in THE COMICS, v.12 #11, "Spider-Man's cool blue was removed because the color blue was "owned" by the guest stars costume color." In other words, Spidey couldn't have a "cool blue" uniform because the Fantastic Four had cool blue uniforms.

>>
>>93553950
Nothing changes, just like every other new yearly status quo. Might pick up Spirits of Vengeance, Two-in-One, and Moon Knight.
>>
>>93553950
I actually just started reading Slingers was a little disappointed they only lasted 12 issues. So I'm actually kinda excited for that. Moon Knight sounds like they're going to keep beating the mental illness horse and keep fucking bringing back his brother Randall when Countdown to Dark was all he ever should have gotten.
I have very little faith in Sipirts of Vengeance being good. Everything else is just more of the same bland shit.

Maybe it's a retake in Marc and his brother's story, adding to the work Lemire was doing about shaping his personal history. The Marvel motive for this relaunch is legacy: Marc doesn't have one, but he sure can have a family history behind.

So, "no colossal crossovers for a while" died a quick, ugly death, huh? Seriously, I want to read Marvel, but in the last twelve months, we've had Civil War 2 (which SUCKED), IvX (which was bland and boneheaded), and Secret Empire, which has been meh at best - and now we're using that as a launchpad to Legacy. And Legacy is itself a setup for ANOTHER relaunch, according to recent reports.

No. Though that is a huge set back; as is his character design, his cliche origin story, boring story telling, and shitty art. Reyes is just a horrible character that is Ghost Rider in name only. There is a reason people dislike the character and ignored the book; it was not because he was Hispanic. It was because it sucked all around. That is without even going into how he was not technically 'Ghost Rider'.

Eh, it definitely launched to poor numbers, but the sales are good enough that it can probably last to #10. They tend to greenlight issues based on trades and they probably had too many issues to fit into one trade so they're giving it a couple extra to get two out of it.

At the very least, it's selling higher than Nova did.

Christ 52 titles is still a lot. What's sad is that there's bound to be more, unless they're planning on cancelling Runaways at #2.
>>
>>93555880
I just don't understand why they didn't wait ONE month and just launch Runaways as part of Legacy.
>>
>>93555194
Normally I hate time skips but teenage spiderling does sound more interesting...
>>
>>93555928
Because Marvel's losing sales NOW, anon.
>>
>>93553950

Its the same talent less cancerous fuckups in creative. So its shit.
>>
>>93555194
isn't Annie 8 years old right now?

could be in reference to when they found out MJ was preggers. not to happy about a time-skip, so here's hoping to that instead.

This all seems transparently cynical
>>
>>93555194
As long as it was planned I'm okay with it.
>>
>>93555261
hahahahahahaha

yeah and I hope Bendis leaves Marvel
>>
>>93553950
>>93553977
Man, they really changed the face of the comics industry with this one.
>>
I guess I'll keep reading U.S.Avengers for based Sam... and maybe Moon Knight, if the creative team is good. This is really depressing.

>Astonishing X-Men: A Man Called X

Are there still going to be people denying the Bleeding Cool story about Xavier coming back? Even though Astonishing is said to bring back a character and the first villain in the shadow king? Even though the recent X line relaunch was called RessurXion?
>>
>>93553950
>No Ultimates
Guess I'm down to just Captain Marvel & USAvengers now.
>>
>>93553950

Depressing as fuck. Can we stop posting Marvel for like a year?

it's been pretty good
>>
>>93557045

The mediocore streaks between the shit dont really do it for me. The past doesnt go away its like watching someone walk away from a car crash in a slightly entertaining way.

Also I still dont like the new look. The colors arent bad but they arent her. Plus the skinny body now. Everything else would have been enough of a change but that is like a new character.
>>
>>93553950
I can understand putting Action/Detective Comics back to their old number because they'll be reaching the fabled #1000 in a couple years time but what does Marvel hope to gain from this? It's not like the old days in comics where kids with a limited budget would want a high numbered series because "that means it must be good".

Apart from a big maybe for Avengers #700 I don't think the other series will reach landmarks in due time. Expect another wave of #1's in the near future form Marvel.

>· Heroes fighting villains

I like that this is supposedly a selling point rather than just the way things should be.
>>
>>93556899
It's Adam X the Xtreme.
>>
>>93553950
Man, we're getting Daredevil 600, Iron Man 600 and ASM 800 pretty soon.
>>
>>93554214
I'm still shocked that Ross is still at Marvel, you would think that he would have jumped back to DC after Rebirth since that's basically his jam.
>>
>>93558121
>Slott got to write ASM 600, 700 and will probably write 800 too
Dayum
>>
>>93555114
That should really be their slogan come 2018.
>>
>>93558241
It's weird that Ross refused to draw Kyle Rayner or Tim Drake yet now he's ok with Miles, Squirrel Girl, Gwenpool and all that utter shit
>>
>>93554039
Xmen arent the big thing anymore.
>>
>>93558356
Yeah, a lot of fans today don't even remember the X-Men.
>>
>>93558367
True. Hahahahahahah

If it's not Renew Your Vows or Gwenpool, then I don't give a shit about it.
>>
>>93558329
I get Miles, but why would Alex Ross be against Squirrel Girl or Gwenpool?
>>
>>93558329
Ross doesn't really care about Marvel the way he does about DC. There it's just a paycheck, not a passion.
>>
>>93558484
I was just giving examples of terrible characters he draws, but yeah along the lines of Miles he did Whore and those other legacy characters in Secret Wars when he used to refuse to draw non silver age characters for DC
>>
>>93557486
>what does Marvel hope to gain from this?

A temporary sales boost. That's all they give a shit about. Short term gain is more important than long term.
>>
>>93558685
Simple. They appeal to him, but kyle and aqua hook don't. He also hates 90s style comics like most do.

Dc to most always been about staying mostly the same while marvel is progressive to changes.
>>
>>93555722
> 27 + 5 + 28 = 60
They have one job.
>>
>Champions
>Hawkeye
>Iceman
>X-Men (Blue & Gold)
>Uncanny Avengers
>Weapon X
>Squirrel Girl
>Thanos
But Moon Knight gets a renumbering?

Also, is Slott/Allred Silver Surfer finally done?
>>
