Rick & Morty is one of my favorite currently airing shows and I don't understand the hatred people have for Rick & Morty on this site. All of the arguments I've seen just come across as "muh Tumblr boogeyman" and that's it.

All the other concepts look fucking stupid and not funny

It's lost that charm it had in season 1 when things were new and exciting. It's just another syndicated show now, unless they deliberately start sending up and mocking the "lol so random muh nihilism" humor, they're going to lose the heart of the show completely.

Which will suck, but it's happened to lesser shows.

Basically Roiland got bored of over-arching plots and doesn't want to do them as much anymore. Hence why they rushed through resolving almost every conflict they had in the first episode.

Season 1 is some of my favorite programming to ever come out of AS, but by S2 the shtick was already starting to wear kind of thin for me. Compare the quality of the improv episodes. It looks like 3 will be more of the same I guess. I'll watch it but I'm keeping my expectations low.
