Lex is a petty little dick guy with a huge ego. Bruce is driven by the need to help others, Lex is a better scientist since he doesn't waste half of the day training. And the night fighting people, Lex may be smarter but batman would always beat him. Batman, Bruce is more of a fixer while Lex is more creative.
