It's weird how I often felt sorry for even the asshole Oriental Heroes characters when they died. Even Jaws, who was a habitual rapist, died mostly because he leapt into the path of an attack to save his brother. Fourth Dragon was killed by his own brother and off all of these guys the only one I really hated was Chan, who we were supposed to hate. Chan was a complete asshole.

There was some, but most Jadement titles focused on unarmed combat. Lower level fighters did sometimes use weapons, but only in a couple of titles did the main characters routinely do so.

Some of these Chinese kung fu comics had amazing art but lacked in the story department. Oriental Heroes had pretty good art and a great story for a while but eventually started to suck story wise and Storm Riders, a later and prettier comic, had a crappy story pretty much from the beginning.

i bought this and a few of the Jademan comics in the 90s. I had this very issue.
They were like 70s kung-fu movies, you had to let their version of reality wash over you and just enjoy the over the top operatic drama of it.
Also the giga-miles of perfect hatching everywhere.
