"Spoiler culture", I assume. Not to mention, the events of TLJ pick up literally moments after TFA. There's no real use in pre-TLJ content when pre-TLJ is literally TFA.

There's little excuse for the pre-TFA period at this point, though, except for certain story elements that have yet to be confirmed in TLJ and Episode IX. Nothing is entirely certain right now, perhaps mostly due to JJ's mystery box.

Good and bad, I suppose. Some small snippets of new stuff, such as the Clone Commando and Fondor, but a lot of stuff we've already seen, which is to be expected of an Alpha. I certainly hope the Clone and Droid armies have more than just V-Wings and Vultures to fly. Get the ARC-170, V-19 Torrent, Z95, Hyena Bomber, Geonosian fighter, Tri-fighter, and Rogue-class fighter. They also really need to open ship selection for the Rebels and Empire, no more X-Wing/A-Wing and TIE Fighter/TIE Interceptor bullshit. They have assets for Y-Wings, B-Wings, TIE Bombers and Defenders.

TFA took ANH and put emphasis on the wrong points.


The entire battle to destroy the Death Star was the central focus of ANH. It established the very finite number of rebels available to attack the death star, and it took its time building to the climax, with the dog fights and the trench run taking its toll on the rebels so literally they only win by the skin of their teeth.

TFA, the notDeath Star battle is secondary to the duel of personalities between Marey Sue and Emo Ren. No sense of urgency for the notRebels, no established numbers so every downed X-Wing didn't bite, and the long dramatic trench run was condensed into a couple of minutes of 'oh yeah, shoot the obvious weak bit'

TFA took the emotional climax of ESB and jammed it into ANH hoping it wouldn't screw everything up.

With TFA, Starkiller Base just randomly shows up and we're only told that it's a "weapon" and that "it's ready" and Hux proposes using it to destroy the Republic. We're never told what the weapon is capable of until we see it. do something.

If you're referring to his mother, then you missed the connection to Luke and his vision of Obi Wan.

Tatooine was Anakin's Dagobah where he would start to stray from the path of the Jedi, much like Luke.

The slaughtering of the Raiders was the same as Luke's entering the cave, both faced something that would shake them to their core. Anakin emerges angrier and more receptive to the Dark Side, while Luke becomes more aware of the Dark Side with Yoda cautioning him.

There was not meant to be any hype. The inevitability of Geonosis and the events leading up to it were the point of it all. Do you notice how the first half or 75 percent of the film is more or less a character study of the two ideals that would clash during the course of the war?

The major part of this is the fact that our main Death Star shooter, I forgot his name, is a secondary character, rather than the protagonist. He's closer to Lando's role in ROTJ than to Luke's.

The duel before it was otherwise fine, but the climax was shoddy in that it was supposed to depict Dooku parrying Anakin's overhand strike and finishing by relieving Anakin of his blade arm, but instead it's of Anakin executing the overhand strike, Dooku parrying it, Anakin just standing there presenting himself with both arms out and Dooku taking his arm off. You only see Anakin as a whiner without paying any real attention to the context of his complaints. Like Obi-Wan, you're stuck in the heat of the moment without being present and attentive in the moment. This is by and large how he failed Anakin, by taking his complaints and defiance and striking back as they came rather than probing out the why.

I really don't get this argument. Kanan and especially Ezra develop over the course of the series, yes. But others don't change any more significantly than Sabine does. "Balancing her personal feelings with advancing the Rebellion" wasn't something Hera learned over a season, it was her character from the start. Zeb haven't developed much either. But while he initially disliked Ezra, they bonded over time. Sabine is no different. She has grown close and comfortable with Ezra, just like the rest of the crew. Turning down his awkward flirting attempts does not equal "looking down at him". Heck, she supported him when he was frustrated over his family and even repaired the hologram to give him as a birthday present. The fact that we didn't learn her full backstory until Season 3 doesn't make her any more "boring" or unlikeable as a character than Hera before we met her father, or Zeb before he found his lost home planet. Sure, before Darksaber, there were only hints of her backstory, but it was enough to make the character work - she didn't like to talk about her past, she had trust issues, and several episodes focused on that.

So I really don't understand the problem with Sabine. Do people just think she is a "stronk womyn" character? She has too many skills and an extraordinary design, yeah, but that's just a natural result of her being a Mandalorian during the Age of Empire (so of course she would have Mandalorian warrior training AND Imperial Academy training), and art is just her hobby which she takes too far. This is nothing like Rey being able to perform mind tricks or hold up in a lightsaber duel without prior training.

Yeah I let me try to word it better; I mean to say that when you go into AotC and connect each scene to a supposed equivalent in ESB, it falls apart since the ESB counterpart was going with something totally different.

Example in this case being Anakin's tantrum makes him sound like an angry kid if you compare him to Luke's arrogance, since Luke had the destruction of the Death Star under his belt while the viewer never actually sees how far Anakin has come aside from a few uses of the Force here and there.

If taken on its own Anakin can be seen to be, at the very least as strong as Obi Wan in his manipulation of the Force in this movie and so his anger can be seen more as understandable frustration than an annoying fit.

Yoda's "arrogance being flaw more and more common among Jedi, even the older, more experienced ones" was a clean checking backhand to Obi-Wan's saying Anakin was the only arrogant one in the relationship. Obi-Wan was the C+ student tutoring the A+ student.

People saw Leia as royalty and a buttkicker, and got a hell of a lot more screentime than Poe.

Recently went through all three seasons and I changed my tune about it too. First time I watched it I thought she was a little harsh. But she never berates him, she looks out for his well being, even if she gets annoyed with him she treated him civilly. And then on Ezra's end he's a little younger than her and not had the same pressure of family and the Empire breathing down your neck so he hasn't had similar circumstances to mature in ways she did. But over the course of three seasons their relationship has gone from strangers to good friends with at least a sibling like bond in my opinion.

For now, until you have all of the normal and most of the rare cards, just play. I'd advise getting used to using stun cards and killing leaders - usually both sides have some cheap unit (Riot stormtroopers, Talz Murauders) that you can deploy to whittle down turrets.

Literally a month after Return of the Jedi she decided to disband the Rebellion. This to counter Barash Jedi not giving a fuck about diplomacy or helping the Jedi keep peace so they take the Barash vow and fuck off and become monks.
