The source is that one half-hour Ben 10 special. The name of it escapes me right now. It was the one where they played a bunch of fan videos sent in by kids, like one about a kid turning into a CGI XLR8 and another about some pet goldfish having omnitrix powers. They shared a bunch of random trivia about the show's production before and after commercial breaks, including the bit about Gwen originally being Ben's friend instead of his cousin.
