I really love the eye design, namely the eye shape, the eyelashes and those smooth slightly curved eyebrows. But her face is really chubby from the pictures I've seen.

There's not really a backstory to the show since it's mainly slapstick and comedy. The character development is slowly improving each episode, but most of it is from Mavis. Her friends are not fleshed out as much.
