>9 issues behind on Gwenpool, the only comic I buy because I'm way too lazy to actively buy them and also don't like my LCS
Well I guess I'm going to have to bulk buy.
My most recents are pic related, the He-Man minicomic omni, Larsen Spidey and Jesse Marsh Tarzan v1.
>>93500456
There was suppose to be another comma after "the only comic I buy"
Nothing new anons (still have to catch up on what I haven't read) but I did decide I'm going to start collecting Preacher next, started reading it in those story time threads a few days ago and i enjoyed it. Also anyone have the link to the last preacher storytime thread? Can't find it in the archive for some reason
I also bought the first Deathstroke Rebirth trade but my brother is reading it at the moment. Might do a shelf picture tomorrow, reorganizing at the moment.

How is harrow county
Can you compare it to anything
Past like 2 weeks of books. I just got that new Superboy and the Legion book I preordered today too but don't have a pic.
Here is my main shelves.
>>93502982
Different anon, but it's great. I'd call it horror fantasy.
>>93503056
Here is my manga shelf.

And finally my recent purchases. I'm really hating Midtown Comics right now. They waited over a week to ship my copy of Empowered volume 10.
>>93503075
How can you read prison school,
I got to the tree peeing part & had to drop it tell me it gets better
>>93502982
Not him but I've been getting the floppies and it's ended up being the comic I look forward to the most when I visit my LCS.
I can't think of any comparisons though, sorry. (It may be that I enjoy it so much because I only recently got into comics and haven't read any other horror stuff)
It's 24 issues in now, but each 4-issue arc is pretty neatly separated. readcomicbooksonline has it all.
>>93503115
It gets better and then gets worse. It's a never ending cycle. I love how awkward it is.

Jelly of your Empowered Deluxes. Well, #1 specifically. It's kinda tough to get hold of these days, in the UK at least - I tried ordering from some US seller on Amazon and they cancelled my order without any explanation yesterday.
>>93503144
Those were hard to get. I'm not proud of what I paid for them.
>>93503191
I paid over the cover price for it. I was kinda dumb about it. I hope they will reprint it since they are releasing the third one so I can get a brand new copy of it.
So I am reading the x-Force omni. It's not nearly as bad as I expected, and liefield's art, while not great is servicable in most cases. There are worse artists in several of the annuals that are in the omni. Nothing in the main series really makes sense until around issue 6, though and then the story starts to emerge.
There are issues erawn by Mignolia and Cupullo, too.
Rob draws far more feet than he hides, but very few backgrounds. I legit like his Blob.
I'm glad Marvel sucks now, it has led me to look at some stuff I wouldn't have otherwise. The 90's get a bad rap.
Hellboy Library Edition Volume 1
Gf got it for my birthday a few days ago, it's pretty comfy
>>93503321
>The 90's get a bad rap
Yeah I love Liefeld, Lee, McFarlane, and the whole crop of Image guys.
New Super-Man tpb is arriving by 8 pm tomorrow
I wanted to buy The Fables but I've heard some bad things about it, would anyone here recommend it?
>>93503410
I just read Larson Spidey too, and it was great.
>>93503447
He draws the vest Venom
Got the DC One Million Omnibus and Shazam: The Monster Society of Evil on Monday.
This Omni weighs like 6 or 7 fucking pounds, I feel like I could kill someone with it. Definitely send them to the hospital.
The gutter loss is negligible on pages with separate panels, but it's noticeable on two page spreads.
I have almost the complete collection of the original Blame! manga, but I could never find Volume 6. Does anyone have a good idea where to shop?
>>93503686
I'm a marvelfag, but that DC One Million omni is a great read.
>>93503435
I like it up to the great fables cross over
Then it goes down hill, I would recommend reading the first two arcs & if you like it continue reading it
>>93503686
theres is giant bible with a pictue the devil in it called codex gigas, so it was in this castle while some war was going on & the castle got set on fire & the book got thrown out a window to save it & hit this guy & almost killed him
From last Thursday's trip to Strand and Forbidden Planet. I was gonna pass on Punisher Born but what seems to be Thomas Jane's signature made me get it. The Star Wars books were picked up at Target earlier in the week.
>>93502982
>Someone else has that Houdini book
Cool.
Got copra round four and some idw books. I didn't get as much stuff from the con I went as I thought I would.
Kinda bummed the wolf man hc didn't get the half off bump from ist but it kept me from impulse buying it.

>>93507444
Didn't have the time to post this earlier but I just got the entire X-Statix series in the mail yesterday as well
Just got this in the mail and I should be getting the Captain Marvel collection soon too. Looking forward to it. Never really read a lot of Starlin era Marvel.
>>93500381
bump
>mfw I bought FUCK on a whim thinking it was from Joe Matt,....but it's actually from Chester Brown
I should research better before going to the bookstores.
I also got "the Cartoonist" from David Clowes, which was a neat short read for the metro.
>>93512543
Might as well post the whole shebang.....
Random German/Italian Dylan Dog, Lovecraft and that biography of the mangaka that went hobo/biography of a concentration camp boxer.
>>93512799
Collection of Peter Bagge, David Clowes, Gotlib, FIL (a cartoonist/stage comedian of Berlin). Also some random dutch-british comics like Cowboy Henk and Meccano.
Not in picture: Full Metal Alchemist
>>93512884
Random Euroshit. If I had to name some favourites: Marti, an awesome spanish guy from the 90's and a "Dick Tracy"-Style, the Condorito issues that my grandma saves from the newspaper for me and some Dark Horse "The savage Sword of Conan" compilations.
Bottom level: Evangelion and Homunculus by Hideo Yamamoto
>>93512981
Italian "Apocalypse Zero", some Alan Moore, SCUD, Lady Snowblood and Eltingville Club.
>>93513033
I haven't found the strength or time to finish Habibi....someday.
"Kinderland" is a fantastic child biography of the author before the Berlin wall fall. If you ever see this translated, give it definitely a try.
Then some more chink cartoons: Saikano, Hideshi Hino and Franken Fran. On the corner there's a small booklet of "Torpedo" and "Ranxerox". Those are definitely meant to be read in a bigger format.
>>93505866
The trade dress on the YA trades is beautiful
>>93513127
Mafalda compilation, Asterios Polyp, Old Boy, SZS, Hellsing, Ed Piskor's WIZZYWIG (has the guy done something else besides that hip hop history comic?) and Andrea Pzienzia's ZANARDI.
Still to be read: Steve Mannon's "The Bomb"
>>93513216
A bit more ching chong runes.....
>>93513302
.....and lots and lots of floppies; smut and eerie crap for all tastes!

>>93512799
Is your edition of Disappearance Diary the complete work? The US release is only 1 volume of 2. Also, how is The Boxer? I was looking at getting it recently.
>>93514746
Are those binders full of floppies? I'm looking for a smarter way to store and display mine
Just got some coupons in the mail, guess Barnes and Noble is running some buy 2 get 1 free comic deals soon. Marvel from July 6 to 18, DC from July 19 to August 1.
>>93515077
They are! Got tired of just stacking them in piles!
I'm waiting for an order of some stuff to arrive, and for Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes Vol. 1 to ship out. But Amazon is slow as shit with pre-orders so that's probably going to take quite a while.
Here it is folks, my big ass haul from the past week. Did a few passes at B&N's B2G1 and got...
• JSA Omnibus 1-3
• Flash Omnibus, Absolute Infinite Crisis, and Absolute All-Star Superman
• Black Mirror, Martian Manhunter 1-2
• Robin 1-3
• Flash by Waid 2, JLA 2, Young Justice 1
Found Absolute Blackest Night for cover at my LCS
Got Solo and War Games for cheap at HPB
Got Absolute Sinestro Corps War, Superman For Tomorrow, and Wednesday Comics on Hamilton Books
And got New Mutants, Kingdom Come, and Nightwing through trades

>Is your edition of Disappearance Diary the complete work? The US release is only 1 volume of 2.
Can't really tell if it contains the WHOLE story. It is separated in two big arcs though; his first hobo trip and his work in a gas company + stay in a clinic.
>Also, how is The Boxer?
"Sportsmen imprisoned in WW camps" make great material for a book/movie imo. And this is coming from someone that despises any "oy vey muh six gorillion" Maus-like comic.
There's just something inspiring in watching resilient creatures like a boxer keep their chins up against any adversity.
Got the final volume of Siegfried yesterday, now that it's FINALLY out. Volume one came out five years ago.
>>93515403
Sounds like the same content as the English edition. He released a second volume in 2013 about his life after the events of the first volume.
I might pick up The Boxer then. The art I saw in the previews was pretty decent.
>>93515492
Reinhardt Kleist (the creator of the Boxer) also did a Johnny Cash bio and a recopilation of Berlin anecdotes told by a cab driver.
>>93515269
Jesus, how much did that all cost?
