They don't want her to be a solo since shes suppose to be a Captain America version 2. Her whole job is dealing with Aliens and being the shittiest Ambassador to earth the humans could of possibly chosen.

The real problem is the amount of effort they put into making her what she is now, a boring nothing of a character who has a terrible love life while being the most "popular" hero on planet earth.

They are banking on the Brie Larson movie and they will stick the course they have set for Carol until the movie either succeeds or sinks. I'm already strapped in for Carol being the unified leader of Earth after Secret Empire or some other ass pull like that.

I read both Dr. Strange and Black Panther. Neither one is good. They're pretty mediocre honestly.

Carol was actually VERY relevant ... before she ended up in The Avengers cast.
That book's writers hated her and literally raped her into obscurity.
Twice.

Before The Avengers she was the plucky but willful female sidekick to CAPTAIN MARVEL as he ventured forth on his many classic cosmic space adventures.
Then Marvel got the bright idea to link Cap' Marv's fate to the in-real-life government's "war on cancer", that everyone deluded themselves into believing would be resolved in a few short years ...
So Carol took over that book "temporarily" until the main character recovered from his comicbook death.
That was Marvel's first female lead character, and because she wasn't written to be a typical superhero ...
(as opposed to being a headstrong problem sidekick)
Carol became something radically new and unexpected: a female hot mess who fucks up as much as does right as the main character.
That formula was a breakout hit that's been copied over and over again ever since.
Before her they didn't have that kind of lead character in any comic, especially among female characters.
She created an entire superhero archetype.

Anons on /co/ want to call her return "forced".
It's not "forced", it's overdue.
Marrying her off to a space-Jesus mother-rapist, or erasing her brain and putting her into a coma, just so someone won't have to write her, THAT is forced.
