Eh, whatever, I'll start with... The Ultimates:

The members are:

>Thunderstrike
Norwegian engineer Donald Blake managed to create a suit which gives him the basic abillities of Thor. He plays it straight, but secretely begins thinking he actually is a reincarnated Thor.

>US Agent
Steven Rogers was a 40s Chad with a heart of gold. He became a volunteer for the Super-Soldier Experiment because he believed in the future. He didn't die in the 40s, but was thawed due to the Serum killing him. He's awaken in our times (cure found), and given a less chessy moniker.

>Hawkeye & Black Widow
The Mr & Mrs Smith of the team, the two of them were at one point, the highest paid assassins in the world. After they were captured, SHIELD offered them a spot or death. They changed their names and aliases ("Clint" was Bullseye & "Natasha" was Madame Masque), gave them some serums and nanites, and bam!

James Rhodes pilots the War Machine, the most sophisticated armor that SHIELD has ever produced.

>Hulk
Bruce Banner is the modern "Super-Soldier", and while more... unstable, he's the Big Gun of the team. While in hulk form he doesn't retain his full intellect, but he's a cunning beast.

So there's that. basic, but you need some general foundations to create a more "realistic" but also "bombastic" world.

I could see maybe doing a Universe where it was all one book with an ensemble cast, though? You'd only have to follow the one book like a manga or something and you'd get the full story and all the definitive character moments. I didn't read it, but I think Nu52's Earth 2 worked that way?

It would be hard to pull off but that's the only way I could see it working.

Let's do Spider-Man. Or rather, Spider-Girl.

Peter Parker is a scientist working for OsCorp, which has a partnership working with SHIELD to produce more refined and streamlined/controllable version of the Hulk. He's happily married, and has a daughter.

SHIELD recognizes that this was an accident, but postures themselves and calls it intentional, dubbing it Project: EARLY BIRD, which allows SHEILD to train her and other teen heroes to work under their banner, using impressionable teens to become indoctrinated with their ideology and carry out high-stakes black ops missions.

Starts out as a Spider-Girl/Woman story, but slowly becomes a team book to become the Avengers.

Somebody build a teen hero roster.

I like the Spider-Girl idea, but the main appeal of the early Ultimates stuff was that it was all bombastic-Alpha Men Lead-Splosion pieces of testosterone. No kids, or feelings, just bam!boom!pow!

So a teen team called "Avengers" isn't something I'd add. Better have Mayday spend her childhood with what is essentially a bunch of Army Brats and turn into a foul-mouth, no shits given, millitary-esque but sexy Spider-Woman.

In the show, SHEILD froze Cap shortly before the end of WW2 because the serum was killing him. It was also like this in the "X-Men Evolution" show now that I think about it.

Spider-Man is gay and the first issue opens with him blowing Harry Osborne's cock in a full page. Wilson Fisk is like Donald Trump and becomes the President and then sends sentinel robots after the mutants, Magneto gets mad and attacks. They send SHIELD in to get Magneto, but they didn't know Spider-Man is gay. They walk in the room and Spider-Man is licking Daredevil's ass while whacking him off.

Later, Spidey meets with his boss, Joanie Jameson, Editor in Chief of GAY Magazine, to discuss pictures of butts

There is a streamlined universe, it's called the MCU and it's the only goddamn Marvel thing that makes sense (inb4 somebody is like "no it's not" I don't give a shit, you're wrong, so wrong I'm not gonna dignify your idiocy with a fucking response so instead of responding drink some fucking water and think about the choices in your life that led up to this moment). So this is my plan to fix the Ultimates line, I'd do a hard reboot of the similar to X-Men 92, call it The Ultimates 05 or someshit and basically just continue from the end of Ultimates 2 and ignore fucking everything that happened afterwards. The villain for the first arc could be a post-human Kang that basically walked out of a early 00's Warren Ellis comic and has traveled back in time to conquer the world at one of it's weakest moments (after the Liberator's incident). If the initial comic is successful, then maybe MAYBE do an Ultimate X-Men comic that starts after the Bendis run or Ultimate Spider-Man before Peter dies. There isn't gonna be a Ultimate FF because that comic was an inconsistent Dumpster Fire pretty much after the Millar run.

Streamline, you say?

Let's do that. No more "mutates". After first nuclear experiments many human organisms started to mutate as an evolutionary response to possible nuclear holocaust. You now have potent mutants (like classic X-Men), latent mutants (Spider-Man), non-mutants (Hulk). Everyone who can mutate from "super-serums", radiation, chemicals and not die are "alpha-mutants". They are the ones with powers, which makes a lot of people nervous. This causes the creation of the Avengers, led by Tony Stark and Hank Pym, as an "answer" to the superpowered people with technology and skills. The mutants get persecuted to the point that even independent powered people like Spider-Man sometimes have to unionize and call on friends for help. This leads to the creation of an all-mutant army, the "X-Force", which at first outright opposes Avengers and the government. The two later make peace when they have to band together to save the world from bigger threats neither mutant nor technological in nature.

Cue the introduction of magic and gods. For everyone sans the highest of X-Force/Avengers leadership it should be considered something hidden, a mere myth. Make it about adventures in pocket dimensions and other planes of existence, start mixing in the previously established heroes.

Meanwhile on Earth, show how the mutants and normal humans slowly start living in peace. Maybe have terrorists like Magneto trying to cause radiation extinction events to force more people to mutate, while those who cannot die. "Gentrify" and futurize the US with powers and technology, start showing us what's going on in other countries, who have their own mutant problems. Maybe an African country taken over by angry mutants, forcing our established X-Force to fight against their own brethren just to show the world that they are not going to be a sweeping change, but a slow evolutionary process.

Show that all that tech and powers matter, give the readers hope for the future.

Revive Ultimate Universe again only this time the twist is that only the Ultimate Spider-Man stuff happened but not Ultimate X-Men or Ultimates stuff, which are maybe 90% erased from the timeline, Ultimate Kitty and Iceman are still supporting characters in spite of this and there is/was probably an X-Men team, but Bendis has to fill in the blanks himself. And instead of the Ultimates it's the Avengers which coincidentally seem more like the MCU versions than the Ultimates.

This universe in turn would allow Bendis to tailor his comics to reference MCU stuff (even if Ultimate isn't in the MCU) and can be an entry level comic. Miles can be Spider-Man while Peter died and came back to life, Iceman can decide he's gay, the GOTG can inexplicably show up, and so on.

As for the Ultimate X-Men and Ultimates, they get their own universe where Millar or Hickman or whoever can go hogwild in widescreen destruction porn. Where the Ultimates and the Ultimate X-Men try in vain to stop world-destroying threats.
