Anyone else like this show? Rarely see it mentioned aside from people not liking its version of Lola.
>>
>>93460931
But Lola didn't even have a personality in Space Jam. Literally just "I am a strong, confident GIRL.", with a thing for Bugs later on.
>>
I liked it. Seemed like a sort of fresh take on the Looney Tunes without going 'too' far out there like Lunatics Unleashed.
>>

>Rarely see it mentioned aside from people not liking its version of Lola.
The only people who like Space Jam Lola are furrie's who are so autistic with their waifufaggotry they can't accept a shitty character when it's in front of them.

As for the show, I really loved it. It started out very hit and miss but got increasingly better as it went on. It also has one of the best incarnations of Daffy Duck and even in the shit episode's he would regularly be the highlight every time.
>>
>>93460931
Boring. It took characters who were crafted for a specific type of comedy, and put them in a show that didn't play to their strengths generally. Daffy was fun, but he's always fun.
>>
>>93460931
Really? A lot of people on /co/ prefer this version to the original. Also we used to have Looney Tunes Show threads all the time. Some moments still get mentioned a lot im threads

>Daffy Duck the Wizard

With how sue happy Bethesda is, I'm actually somewhat shocked that they got away with using Daedric script in the video.

It doesn't have literally me 0/10 worst cartoon

But she was actually funny in this, though.

Haven't seen it recently, but when I watched it like 2 years ago I went into it expecting not to care about it much and for it to be pretty mediocre. Think I'd heard mixed reactions + the premise does sound pretty dumb. Was surprised that I ended up enjoying it a lot and going through the episodes quickly.

Liked that it tried to do its own thing and not just imitate the shorts despite how dumb a Looney Tunes sitcom sounds on paper. The continuity it built up was fun and Daffy's fucked up characterization was probably the strongest part.

>>93460931
Essentially "Daffy Duck: The Show".

and it's glorious. Best interpretation of his to date.

I liked the Duck Dodgers Daffy better, but this one was pretty funny.

The Baffy was strong in this show and you know it.

it's hilarious and underrated

Chances are that they don't even know about it. I'm just now noticing it myself.

I'm still surprised there's enough people that liked this shit. The dry sitcom thing just ended up being awkward, and it felt like you could insert any character in those situations. It didn't bring out the charm of these characters. And the musical bits were awful.

Lola is my favourite character in the show. She is so energetic and stupid, even trickster Bugs not always know how to handle her. She is something fresh.

You shut your whore mouth.
>>
>>93463415
>it felt like you could insert any character in those situations
That was the charm and novelty: seeing Looney Tunes characters, who everyone has grown up with, in situations you usually saw literally every other character (leaning more towards human characters actually) besides Looney Tunes characters in.

>And the musical bits were awful.
This is true.
>>
>>93460931
I didn't like it but there's something to be said for trying to find other formats to put these characters in.

Nobody is ever going to do a traditional Looney Tunes short that is as good as the ones the original studio made. It was tied to a particular moment and a particular style and an infrastructure that allowed short gag cartoons to be made with studio budgets and big orchestras.

No matter how hard you try you can't duplicate that, so the thinking of the LT show was why not try a completely different style of comedy and do some of the things the original shorts didn't (like having some continuity)?

I found the result dull but the approach itself is better than just trying to replicate the 1930s/40s/50s style, which not even the original creators could replicate after the original studio shut down.
>>
>>93460931
It was alright but a lot of the characters felt off. Witch Lezah and Gossamer just plain sucked. The Merry Melody shorts were mostly cringe worthy as well with the notable exception of the Daffy the Wizard video. The only standout character was Daffy though I don't see what was so bad about Lola. Sure she was an annoying ditz but she actually felt like a real fleshed out character there.

I mean, Andrew Hussie got away with it just by flipping it backwards and upside down. Apparently Bethesda isn't actually as vigilant as their reputation suggests.

When this show aired, CN and the cartoon world in general was at its absolute peak.

>the Looney Tunes Show was a unique, interesting concept that was well written, animated, and produced
>Regular Show was at its peak
>Gumball was at its peak
>Adventure Time was at its peak
>Clarence and OtGW was right around the corner
>Gravity Falls was still relevant before the stupid hiatus
>Beavis and Butthead came back
>4chan was at its peak content quality:popularity ratio and moderation moderationness
>Ed Snyder was still president of CN

What else am I missing?

Anyway, everything was so exciting back then with regards to cartoons because after years of mediocrity, suddenly there was this huge influx of well written, uniquely drawn, well made cartoons that were still for kids but written with teens/20/30-somethings in mind as well

I miss it bros :-( The only thing that would have made that time period (and this current time period) better is if I had a girlfriend
