The proportions for the characters in the comic never change, the shading and drawings are too perfectly 3d and the eyes always look identical to those you see in porn sfm series. It's especially obvious with someone like Deodato, because he had an actual art style that's completely different from what he does now

Here's another example. This comic is literally just Poser pictures. Compare it to the "comic art" posted earlier

That recent issue where Superbro died was ruined because of the model tracing. It can't be faster to pose a 3D model than it is to just draw the damn thing from scratch, can it?
The Sketch Up backgrounds are pretty jarring too but at least they aren't photographs with a shitty filter.

I'm sure many people use Poser. Art is way easier when you have models, after all. The issue lies with the comics where the art is obviously traced from Poser. There's a big difference between using models as inspiration and literally just filtering a picture and tracing over the lines. When it literally looks CG, then it probably is. The main tells for when it's literally just tracing are always if the characters faces and muscles stay perfectly the same throughout a comic

I want to like the current 2099 run. I really do. The art is just so fucking terrible though. It's so stiff and static, which should not fly for a Spider.

I'm one of maybe three people who actually likes his white/black suit, but the interior art makes it look so awful. It looks fine in cover art though.

Deodato's always used reference images in his art, and all of his stuff always had this realistic, chiaroscuro look. I guess somewhere along the line he realized he could just trace Poser models and have the same effect instead of drawing from scratch
