it would be nice if people understood that. the jews and romans were a microcosm of the whole world: one being god's people who reject him, the other being pagans who never knew him in the first place and have horrible, barbaric practices (but also have some good things like aqueducts and surprisingly fair trials (he would've gotten off both times without the hoi polloi repeatedly kangarooing him))
