Not everyone hates their parents anon.

They would put up with her and continually try to push her to be independent, but she would be in a constant cycle of getting a shitty unimportant part time job for half a year, and then being jobless and "looking for work" the next half. She would be comfortable because she's always living in a fantasy world and using media for escapism. Her parents are the ones who would be stressed.

There are a lot of people who live like that. Some girls though just have the advantage of being able to find a guy who would provide for them instead because our culture says that's ok, and they'll continue to live completely dependent and contributing little, and would likely be a shitty parent despite always be home.

They've just done a lot of new things, most dumb ideas, but a few that really worked. That kind of makes up for it because the bad ideas will die and the good ideas will continue. Why does 4chan think it's smart or normal to get married when you're 18-23? Sure, that was the custom a hundred or two years ago, but nowadays, people get married that early because they're trailer trash or they're desperate.

I actually didn't hate her in it. Everyone else was as out of character as usual, but Gwen was pretty well used by pointing out how that political stuff isn't what readers want and bringing up a half dozen examples of supervillains being the cause of everything bad about the world.
