A bunch of criminals find out and plant some bombs around the city for him to look for while they rob stuff, and Superman has to figure out how to find the bombs without his X-ray vision (which in the SA WAS his heat vision just dialed down).

I prefer Supes when he's about Pic Related. Can still lift buildings like it's nothing, but he has to obey physics to some extent. He only weighs so much and can be thrown bodily and delayed. If this was actually written in a published book, this is why DC is so fucking retarded. Every issue they have to 1 up previous issues to keep their characters interesting.
