The Pendulum Zones are now part of the back row, meaning if you want to pendulum summon, you're automatically reduced to 3 magic/trap zones.

But the most game changing one that's caused a lot of people to quit the game: You can only summon one extra monster (cards brought from the graveyard are the exception) at a time unless you have a Link monster, and only in a special designated zone that the Link monster converts from the main monster zone.

It killed off extra deck reliant decks (mainly Synchro) because you need a Link monster to summon more than the one you get on the field while also making main deck horrendously overpowered.

The little arrows on the card's inner border "link" the monsters and card zones you can special summon an additional monster in if they're pointing towards a monster zone.

I love Stotkoe, but his enthusiasm, and choice of subject matter(everyone loves Godzilla) blinds people to his faults, in my opinion. His figurework is wonky and his actual art is crude in a lot of places, just cleanly detailed. I feel like a lot of his figures don't look three dimensiona; at all, and often his linework looks very flat, saved by coloring.
