Now let's all agree to never add plot to our series again.
Lorefags ruin cartoons.

Lore is what makes cartoons great.

Not everything needs 2000 pages of lore to be good. Also, not every lore is good.
>>93370339
doesn't lore just mean the series has a point-- and don't cartoon artists just add lore to their silly drawings so they can feel like "artists" rather than cartoonists and animators? Looney Tunes were like candy-- they didn't have a point, they were just fun. and isn't fun enough?

You know what would make cartoons great?
Substance instead of an over-reliance on lore to keep people begrudgingly watching.

Not in this day and age. Someone on TVT put it best:
>Part of that, though, is a sea change in what audiences expect from comedy in general these days. While still funny today, contemporary audiences just don't respond as well to completely anarchic slapstick as they used to (look at the responses to latter day Family Guy or the surfeit of dead baby gag comedy that's on the airwaves these days and compare to shows that tried for something more like Futurama). There's been a general trend over the years toward greater genre integration and less speciation. People like their comedy to have plot, their drama to have comedy, their action to have a bit of highbrow, their science fiction to be a bit more grounded in reality.

Lore = Plot
???
What if its a seemingly simple cartoon with things that aren't there until some Theorist pieces it together?
