Since I've been revisiting The Authority Vol. 1 (never got a hold of Vol. 2), I thought I could give the New 52 version a visit. Let's give it a look.
Bumps are super appreciated
N52 Stormwatch is the most retarded thing though. It has literally nothing to do with Stormwatch or even the Authority that it rips off. The Authority stayed on Earth because the Carrier didn't want to leave. The weren't alien hunters. Actual Stormwatch was the UN's super hero team, again focused on and based on earth.
This version?
>LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL AYY LMAOS AMIRITE?? LOLOLOOLOLOL XD
Are his palms/soles supposed to look like that? Is it to increase his connectivity with cities?
Love the bottom panel.
How much of WS is still in Rebirth continuity? I liked the nu52 Grifter series.
Glad to see Martian Manhunter being introduced so early into the DC New 52. Not having him as a member of this Justice League was disappointing, but this is good.

Midnighter and Apollo and Bendix are still around. Orlando's mini incorporated in New Guardians, Seven Soldiers and Hitman stuff.
Not going to lie, I really like this page.

Since all the Wildstorm titles came to a close, I think DC is purposely avoiding them. Last time I checked, Warren Ellis is writing a new Wildstorm ongoing. Haven't gotten a chance to read that yet.
>Attention, Prisoner Zero. The human residence is surrounded.
>Prisoner Zero will vacate the human residence or the human residence will be incinerated.
So.....who here would trust the giant eye?
Whoever colored this comic deserves a fucking raise.
How did Martian Manhunter take this without flinching?
>From the Justice League?
Either I'm misremembering or this is an error. J'onn had tried out for the justice league or was asked to join the justice league and all sources agree that it did not go well.
=O
>Chinspike
I'm in. Also a way better pitch line.
All in all, I thought this was a solid first issue to the DC iteration of these characters. Little too much exposition but I still had fun.
>>93348558
Page six bumpalso, you wrote "Stromwatch" not "Stormwatch in the title
>>93348590
LOL Fucking dammit. If I continue on with this tomorrow I'll be sure to change it. Thanks for the catch.
I feel like I'm supposed to enjoy this page but I really don't.
Oh shut up J'onn. Just read his mind and be rendered unconscious already.
God, is everyone in this series trying to usurp the other?
Top panel is glorious.
Huh.....cool
Well goddamn

>editor: pat mccallum
the new executive editor of DC. really says all you need to know about the DC leadership

It's more because the initial interest in WS during n52 was largely because of Jim Lee who apparently had larger plans for the WS heroes in DC Comics. Their disappearance from DC (as well as SM/WW breaking) is more a reflection of his loss of clout at DC.
DC just never had much interest other than from Lee and his people.
Resizing this page took fucking forever
Hooray?
i am amazed this went like 30 issues

This

Was this supposed to be his true Martian form in the New 52? Thank god they did away with that.
>>93352085
I always thought he looked kinda humanoid, even in his martian form. Then again, JL versions can't be applied to all DC characters.

=D

This.
Final issue for the night. I'll start tomorrow's thread with the correct title (hopefully)!
>>93352996
No Problem.
I just felt like I needed to spoiler this page.
Also pretty sure he'd literally die if he's separated from a city for too long, but I could just be imagining things.
And thus we conclude the first official Stormwatch thread. Hope everyone has a great night!
After I'm done with the New 52 series I'll look into storytiming the original series and the followup The Authority.
BUMP!!! I've never read these characters before so this is all new
>>93353710
then you might wanna see if OP shares the original Jim Lee version
>>93348128
Pretty sure it was soles and soles only in muh Stormwatch. And that it was never explained but it would make sense.

That outfit is just terrible. I can see someone trying to design Coldsteel the Midnighter, Tactical Edgelord, but for god's sake you put spiky pauldrons in and there's jack rigid armor on forearms and shins.
New Midnighter was a good update on classic leatherdaddy Midnighter but this is just terrible.
>>93349988
It's a draw Apollo ugly for some reason episode.

Thank you.
