ITT: Favorite Golden Age comic book covers
Now this is a thread I can get behind. They certainly dont make 'em like they used to.

They really had a sense of wonder missing from modern comics.

God, why can't people leave their politics out of my comics!? It's such a new thing that never used to happen until Trump!!
/sarcasm
The old Plastic Man/Police Comics covers are pretty great

Spectre always has great covers

Desu there's a big difference between this or Wolfenstein and that America comic. This isn't that political.
It's like calling the stories where a bunch of island-dwelling tribals attack the protagonist "racist". The writer just wanted to write a story and thought they'd make for fun bad guys.
Anyways, popping in with one of my personal favorites. This cover was better than the actual story. I like the perspective Fate's drawn in. I really hope DC brings back something like this. I would totally pick up a biweekly "More Fun Comics" or "All-American Comics" that's split between different JSA heroes. Give em a chance to spread their solo wings.

I knew the Golden Age could be brutal, but Jesus
I love them. Comics looked and where fun.
Npw the cover are just stylish crap done by some pretentious artists while the inside is just boring crap where nothing ever happens with atrocious overrendered digital coloring.

Sorry, "were" fun.

agreed. I like to think of them as old muscle cars. there's something about them that's just better than newer comics.
its a combination of the paper, colors, inks and artwork. everything these days has extremely precise, abundant lines and is colored digitally.
wish we could get modern storytelling combined with golden age artstyle.
