He's a SQUARE
>>93327757
they're both pretty shitty parents too
he was at Clarence's house during the hurricane instead of his parents being anywhere close
we can assume his square head mom was at least getting supplies while she was trying to pay for her gas during the storm, but his hippy mom was nowhere to be seen until they were all at the shelter
it's ironic
>redneck parents were portrayed as stern but caring
>single mom and her boyfriend are as naive as their kid when it comes to raising him
>lesbian couple raised a neurotic boy they let out on their own during a storm
>>93327905
>>93327945
How do they think about raising such an abhorrent human being?

It's easily one of my top 5 favorite shows airing and every normal grown-ass adult I've watched it with has loved it too.
It's very well written and doesn't follow sitcom convention like a typical old-school kids' show, it does a ton of different things ranging from down-to-earth slice of life to bizarrely surreal fever dreams and never does it predictably. Most characters have gotten a fair bit of development and they've tackled a lot of satricial and serious subject matter at times (though never being heavy-handed) while at others the show has been microscopic in scale and feather-light in tone and plot. It has a very particular sense of humor and there's a lot of attention to detail, it makes me laugh out loud regularly. There's absolutely never been anything quite like it.
The animation is an acquired taste or something that might take getting used to but when the show needs it the animators can displsy quite a bit of technical skill, several episode have impressively fluid sequences.
basically u can suck shit

Oi dipshit, note i only said "kinda". As in a little. I don't outright hate it but somehow it just doesn't sit well with me. Maybe it's probably because I'm still holding out on a kid's slice of life that presents somewhat mature dilemmas and seeing how the kids work through it. Now if Clarence can find a way to exploit this, then maybe I'll change my tune. Until then I'm still on the fence.

That's why he is neurotic, he realized his moms are terrible.
>tfw Jeff it's an average joe, and probably without the traumas inflicted by having 2 moms and no father reduced his potential.
>>93328689
he also tried to kill another kid with a bowling ball
He'sA COMPUTER, A COMPUTERY GUY

>every normal grown-ass adult I've watched it with has loved it too.
That just means that you and the people you're around share similar interests.
Honestly? While I do see the potential that the show has, and the things it does can be interesting and alright, the main thing that prevents me from enjoying the series is Clarence himself.
Clarence grates on me. He's an absolute brat that does so many questionable things, yet never actually gets punished for doing them. If he weren't the main character, or he was handled a bit differently, then maybe I'd be able to actually tolerate the series.
>>93331664
how is he any different from any other kid character that does the hell they want and get away with it?
other than the way he looks?
>>93328989
hey i remember you

>>93335049
irrationally?
we have no idea how long EJ and Rosie has been at odds so it could've a life-long deal (or at least when she came out).
>>93335133
She seems cool with her wife
>>93327671
Wait, they made a Minecraft cartoon? Why doesn't Steve? have his beard?
>>93335152
Thinking more of how some females who out themselves as lesbian do a total makeover.
Rosie's probably fine with EJ being gay, just not looking like that (boots mess up the linoleum).
