I've read pretty much everything there is to read involving Darkseid, and while I love Kirby's, I didn't feel as awestruck as I did whenever Morrison's Darkseid spoke.

I hate the Injustice depiction. I understand that they're trying to depict him as this arrogant figure who doesn't feel the need to use his hands, but every other animation looks ridiculous.

Bravado, maybe. But Kirby had him pretty laidback mostly. That three billion hands speech is the kind of thing Desaad would shout about until Darkseid told him to chill the fuck out.
And no one can write Darkseid better than the man who created him.
