It was not funny. Random bullshit is not funny to me, no matter how well the animation is. One of the reason I think Adult Swim is shit. Shows based around being loud and random have no real fucking interest for me. Extreme randomness with no fucking clue as to how or why. One or two chuckles in an episode that is supposed to be funny does not really keep a program going. I will repeat that, the animation and style was really awesome.

They are fixing that. The season two finale basically included major arc advancement and the reveal that Mr Pickle's gimp is the family's evil grandmother/that Pickles basically is looking after the family so long as the kids are pure at heart.

Sometimes things are better implied. Also An edgy joke in a childrens cartoon is much funnier than a similar joke in family guy. You will not see it comming and that makes it funny. Hitting the same note a 100 times is boring.
