Love this one
My dad fucking loves archer
>>93292545
Old Simpsons but that's it
>>93292545
>dads liking /co/ stuff
That's funny, the only time dads think about /co/ stuff is when they're expressing disappointment and shame
I come from a family of nerd so we all read and collect comic books. My dad and uncle had a storage unit full of old comics
He'll watch most adult cartoons that aren't Metalocalypse/Superjail level gratuitous but he likes Rick and Morty enough to wear an R&M t-shirt.
The hardest I'd seen him laugh at a TV show was that episode where numbuh 2's brother teamed up with the Common Cold
>>93294470
That reminds me of the time my stoic guatemalan dad walked into the room during the dia de los muertos episode of billy and mandy just as grim says:
>some 2bit stupid ugly mexican wrestler!
He lost his shit.
>>93293853
>That fat hippie girl
I feel a waifu coming on
>>93293327
Your dad seems cool.
My dad really likes scrat from ice age.
Dad watches lockup a lot. He lost it when I showed him the boondocks.

This and early family guy. Its funny because he is basically an irl hank hill other than a few minor differences.
>>93292545
His favorite show and episode. I haven't told him about season five...
>>93293070
He sounds like good guy anon, sorry for your lost
Though my whole family likes it, so.
Dad also likes Cartoon Planet, Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast, early Family Guy, and used to like Ren and Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead back when they were on.
My dad loved the fuck out off f is for family. He also watches Simpson's, king of the hill, family guyb and robot chicken. Its not co but he is also into power rangers. When the trailer dropped for the movie he stormed into my apartment and told me to call out sick that day.
>>93292545
One of the few kids films he legitamely enjoyed watching.
none
just the golf channel
golf channel or bust.
He really enjoys the slapstick. And likes plank

Thanks anon, it's an old wound. Honestly I always forget about Father's Day anymore.
But yeah, he's also the reason I like comics. He grew up in the Marvel Age reading the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. But his dad gave him a real hard time about it in his adolescence, so dad wound up burning all of them. IIRC the Sub-Mariner was his favorite character.
>>93292545
My dad stayed over during his divorce and we binged Ed Edd and Eddy together. Pretty sure that's the only /co/ show he's watched other than the occasional McFarlane
My dad never liked co stuff nor movies that aren't based on real events. But there's one time i caught him watching Rango, he did liked that movie for some reason.
>>93296112
Latino father?
My dad loves all comics and constantly brings home new trade paperbacks. His favorites are Spiderman and Batman, and he's had this Batman bank since he was a kid in the late 60s. His interest in comics and other nerd shit is definitely where I got it from.
>>93296348
Nah, white southerner
His favorite newspaper comic. I bought him the complete box set once.
He's not into TV cartoons, but he actually really likes most of the animated movies I show him. This is his favorite.
Looney Tunes (his favorite character is Pete Puma), Simpsons, South Park, and he loved the few episodes of BTAS he was when it was rerun on The Hub.
The Simpsons
>>93293157
My Mom really loves Courage, but since she's foreign she doesn't really remember the actual name of it so she calls it "The Stupid Dog Show".
My dad and I love comics but the french kind, not american kind (we're french canadians) We love the classics like tintin, asterix and Lucky Luke (my dad's favorite) but we also love more modern stuff like the Paul series or anything by Guy Delisle. Comics have really made me and my dad closer, when I was little my dad and I didn't have anything in common and he always spent more time with my brothers to do man stuff. But our love for comics have really brought us closer, I even gave him one for father's day. Also, my grandpa hates comics and wouldn't let my dad read them when he was a kid.
He doesn't really watch anything right now (more of a live action scififag), but he gets nostalgic for stuff like classic Spider-Man and Jonny Quest.
>>93296088
Same. My dad's pretty based.
>>93297180
Ever read, miss don't touch me? That's a good one
He just watches whatever films are available on Netflix, so sometimes he'll come across a few lesser talked about foreign animated films, or an anime film.
>"Would've been better as a real movie. I'd give it about an 8/10."
Every time.
He likes making South Park and Family Guy references too.
My dad was a big fan of Space Ghost and any other early Adult Swim shows that reused H-B assets. He's been keeping up with Archer and just got into Mike Tyson Mysteries.
My dad loved the fuck out of Speed Racer when he was younger, and I think he still does
My dad doesn't watch live action TV, his TV is set on Cartoon Network/adult swim 24/7
He'll watch just about any adult cartoon, but this one has been one of his favorites for as long as I can remember.
My dad only likes mecha anime. On the other hand my mom loves the Simpsons
My dad's a big Marvel fan, Daredevil especially. He has a whole bookshelf of various comic books, only some of which were mine before I moved.
>>93296786
Some of the separate smaller books (like unnatural selections & cows of our planet) have unique cartoons to them.
Also check out There's a Hair in My Dirt
>futurama
>old simpsons
>koth
>beavis and butthead
>OG Scooby-Doo
>Johnny Bravo
>B:TAS
>>93297642
Oh my gosh! I've read it online because I just can't find it anywhere in bookstores, but I freaking love it! I hope i'll find it one day so I can get my dad to read it too!
>>93298456
I was high when I read it but still got the jest of it. Broke my heart with what happened to the blond
Squidbillies
He got legitimately mad when I told him the changes the movie made.
I guess he was into stupid humor and shitty jokes
>>93298714
Your dad's got good taste
>>93298456
Wanna read it together bby ;*
>>93292545
My father introduced my really young to comics with Tintin, Astérix, Lucky Luke and the Smurfs
>>93293070
Your dad died before seeing SJ get raped, good for him.
Both of my parents like cartoons, but my mom is way more into them than my dad. He really likes Regular Show and Adventure Time though. I want to show him Samurai Jack at some point, but he's not like my mom who can binge all of Mob Psycho 100 and discuss her favorite characters afterwards.
>>93298721
Good taste, old man.
Every time Bettlejuice did something disgusting like eat bugs or remove earwax my dad would lose it.
My mom absolutely hated the cartoon which made the situation even funnier.
Technically this is /a/ but he still loves it nonethelesss.
My dad liked spongebob. When i was a kid, i walked in on him watching it with about 5 friends and they were all laughing themselves to death.
>>93299253
He never really liked /co/ stuff, at least when I was a kid, but he tells me he loved the Justice League cartoons as a kid.
>>93300046
I'll even let you turn the pages with your licked digits Mami ;)
I think he watched it in his childhood and mostly because apparently my mom use to be the spitting image Penelope Pitstop when she was young and he use to call her Penelope to joke about it in their younger years
>>93292545
He usually is hard to impress with books and movies and so. It was very weird seeing how much he liked this when I gave it to him.
A ridiculous amount.
>Adventure Time
>The Amazing World of Gumball
>Regular Show
>Family Guy
>Futurama
>Rick and Morty
>Robot Chicken
>Samurai Jack
He went out of his way to watch Kubo and the Two Strings on Netflix but I never asked him what he thought of it.
>>93296031
I'm so sorry anon.
>>93296031
I know how you feel friendo. I havent related to my dad in more than six years.
My dad introduced me to comics. I was lucky to be able to bond with him on road trips to comic conventions and dig through dollar boxes to find hidden gems with him.
This will probably always be his favorite though.
>>93292545
being dead for 2 years I guess
>>93299816
BJ's corpse at the very beginning used to creep me out so much.
>>93293070
>tfw he never got to see how SJ ends.
>>93297265
Does he like Farscape? I feel like he would if he's never seen it, it's the ultimate live action scifi show to me.
Actual father I never see is a Punisher fan, and read Locke and Key with me. Other father figures were huge Deadpool and Batman fans though
My dad would watch Duckman with me, when it was on Teletoon and I was too young for it. He also got a bang out of the Saturday morning Mega Man cartoon for some fucking reason.I miss you, old man
Pretty much anything by Bakshi or stuff like Aeon Flux.
>>93302540
Your dad sounded cool as shit.
>>93296104
Great stuff. Really cheered me up being this is the first Father's day with out my dad. Thanks.
My dad genuinely loves action kid's shows.
We used to watch shows like Teen Titans, Ben 10, Justice League, Batman TAS, Ultimate Spiderman, and a ton more together all the time.TTGO crushed his spirit and he stopped caring shortly after. He still watches a lot of the animated movies though.
>>93298721
My dad also loves Spongebob because he's 70 now but back when Spongebob premiered, it said it reminded him of old Looney Tune shorts he used to watch in theaters. My dad's fondest memories are theater-related so he REALLY loves slapstick cartoons.
>>93302943
That's pretty cool.
>>93300932wuz
He laughed like a maniac during this
>>93292545
My dad died this year but he used to like Road Runner & Coyote, Tom & Jerry, and specifically one character who was a little duckling who was suicidal. He also kind of liked Ren and Stimpy, Rocko and Courage. Dad was a verbally abusive drunk so these are probably my best memories of him.
I also remember one night he came into my room saying "Anon, come... you gotta come check this out. This guy killed this other guys brother and hes gonna get the shit kicked out of him." I thought dad had invited more sketchy people to our house but when I went in the living room he was watching Mortal Kombat on cable lol. I thought it was pretty funny that dad had somehow become really enthralled with a heavily censored movie based on an ultra violent fighting videogame airing on TNT at like midnight.
Dad died this year from cancer.
Batman and Cybersix. The two cartoons I watched with him back when I was younger.
One of his favorite shows, the man even bought all the DVDs.
>>93300046
But seriously, what's your favorite part?
>>93292545
Bump
>>93297020
awww
>>93303320
Your dad has good taste. Mine introduced me to Wallace and Gromit at a young age.
My dad really likes watching Family Guy. I love him, but I wish he had better taste in TV shows though
>>93292545
I heard him say once it's his favorite film
