Did Ben 10 ever get good?

DESU, the end of the series kinda took me by surprise. Not so much that there was a plot tweest but rather that it sorta ended abruptly.

He sends vilgax packing, and then there was a what if episode after that, and then that's it. I was expecting more after that, but there wasn't anything. It felt kinda unsatisfying. They should have left the final confrontation with vilgax as the series finale, and not bothered with anything else, or else had a little epilogue blurb at the end of the finale and not devoted a whole episode to it.

I know this is a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I actually liked the AF/UA sequels. I felt like there was more closure in AF than we got in the OS. I haven't finished UA yet but so far I enjoyed most of what I watched.

Are we just talking Ben 10 as in the original series, or the whole original Ben 10 universe?

Because Omniverse ended with Ben trapping a time traveling villain in an infinite loop, then going on an intergalactic road trip with his friends.

The real finale was the movie, Secrets of the Omnitrix. It was a pretty good one.
