Start with a light hearted teen drama TV show, first big event is a movie, shit hits the fan, x-men can't handle it, Avengers show up, X-men think they're going to be back up but no it's a triple threat, x-men run off, Tony Stark gives a press conference about the whole thing and introduces a partnership with Trask. TV show keeps going but now it's darker and there's lots of anti-mutant propaganda going on. Mutants start defecting and the brotherhood pops up. Second movie involves Magneto kicking the shit out of the sentinels and the x-men not sure if they should help him, because sentinels are awful, or stop him, because muh mutant acceptance. Either way Wolverine joins the Avengers.

It wouldn't be too hard. They already introduced SW and QS, but they got their powers from Hydra experiments. Just say it was actually Hydra activating their X-gene, and there have secretly been instances of natural mutants since WWII that the government's been suppressing (here you can insert Logan and Weapon X).

After the truth about QS and SW comes out, Professor X contacts the Avengers and tells them he's a mutant and has started a school to secretly help and educate mutant children. They've been hiding till now out of fear, but after seeing QS and SW on the Avengers he feels it's time to try and reach out and show the world what mutants are.

Tony Stark and Trask sound nice but with another plot. Anti Mutant shit would be nice start because there is already hate against Superheroes and now a "human sub-race" of potential super heroes/villains plus some of them doesn't even look like humans. I know it's the status quo of "mutants have discrimination problems" plot but with what already happened it could work just fine.

Do the mutants get the original or ultimate history?

Thing is, if Marvel gets the mutants back, what's left to do?

Doom could be a from a Sokovian minority group that was brutally persecuted by the previous Sokovian government. His father was killed by the regime and his mother died helping him escape the country.

He eventually wound up in America, where his brilliance allowed him to excel. He was in the US during the events of Age of Ultron and Civil War, which made him hate and distrust the "heroes" who wrecked his country, feeling that with this genius he could have saved the country without all the death.

Classic college rivalry with Richards, Richards tries to warn him about his experiment to contact his mother's spirit, doesn't listen, is mutilated and expelled, blames Richards.

Wanders the world learning and gaining power. Eventually comes back to Sokovia while the Avengers are off Earth fighting Thanos or whatever, and seizes control. He changes the country's name to what it's called in his native Sokovian Gypsy tongue: Latveria.
