My only recent /co/ purchase (short of my absurd £60 per week pull list which desperately needs culling) is this t-shirt. Surprised more indie books don't throw up little merch stores. You've already got the art, slapping it on a t-shirt seems like a no brainer.

T-shirts really aren't that profitable unless you're selling a ton of them or there's only one or two people involved in making and shipping them.
>>
>>93273969
this. it only gets profitable if you either sell small amounts of them at ridiculous prices and get away with it or sell a shitton of them to moderate prices.

id rather not make a new thread so maybe you guys can help me out.
i want to look up some comics in the archives but i cant search for anything. there's an "error search is not enabled".
maybe im not using the right archives or website? wondering if anyone has the link to /co/'s archives.
>>
>>93277590
use this:
http://desuarchive.org/co/
if you search for specific comics to download, add http into the search field. if you know the ripper/scanner, enter the name into the search field as well.
don't fill in the other search fields because that usually ends in a "nothing found" error.

I'm having a dilemma here guys, I go to two local shops on the regular, I'd go to just one but my favorite shop also happens to have a huge bias against Marvel so I never have much fun talking about Marvel at that shop. The other shop I buy my Marvel stuff from and the clerks there are total bros but the owner is a huge piece of shit that's ungrateful to his customers, should I just take all my business to the 1st store even tho theyre not as Marvel friendly or just suck it up and keep giving the 2nd cunt of a store owner money.
>>
>>93281910
>500 dollars for a doll
....what?
>>
>>93282023
I always dislike giving money to rude people, so personally I'd peace out from the one store. I'm in a similar situation where I have a local store run by a nice but incompetent guy who always forgets stuff from my pull list and gives me the ugliest variants possible, but my favorite comic shop is a bit over an hour away and it's annoying to have to drive all that way.

Only recently got into collecting trades in the last few years, so only a pussy-ass shelf. Haven't been able to find a decently-priced MTMTE Vol 3 in good condition, I'm waiting for Vol 9 and 10 to arrive and I'm only keeping the Slott stuff because he gets very pretty artists.

That said, I've got more stuff on the way as we speak. Superior Foes Omni was ordered, I have Super Sons and the 2017 Nova run pre-ordered, and I've got an arrangement with my LCS to trade in ongoings when they're done.

So I've got the RYV trade and the entire Silk Vol 1 collection waiting to go. Can't afford to buy massive omnis right now, so pardon the lack of THICC books on my shelf.

So, yeah, small-grade shelf.
>>
>>93283625

Recently picked up this at a used bookstore.

It's kind of funny how old it is - early 80s - the foreword talks about how TMNT is a huge success, but doesn't mention the show and only mentions movies in future tense.
I've never read much of the original Mirage stuff but this was pretty fun, I might have to get more of it.

Actually that's from the late 80s not early 80s; around '88/'89.

They didn't mention the cartoon because at the time, the comic fans HATED the cartoon, not just for the sell-out aspect of them doing it (and how the cartoon neutered the entire series for kids) but because they basically put the main series on pause from around 1986 through 1989, with only two-three issues by E&L and the rest being a bunch of filler stories that fans of the comic REALLY REALLY REALLY hated.

I've been watching DVDs of Disney's 90s cartoon lineup (Rescue Rangers, DuckTales, Gargoyles, an Darkwing Duck) with my kids lately and decided that I'd finally check out the DW comics. Sadly, I discovered the omnibus trade going for far too much online after going OOP. Then, when I decided to take my little girl to our LCS to pick out some Donald and Scrooge comics, I stumbled upon a slightly dinged copy of the DW omni for half the cover price as well. I can't get over how much I'm enjoying this series. I've just read through the first three trades' worth of material in the past couple days. Does the Joe Books series follow this same continuity? I saw two trades for it there as well.

Also, I'm going on vacation to visit family and friends in my hometown for the first time in about a year and a half of living in Alaska and will be going to Fanboy Expo our first weekend back. I'm going to try to get Larry Hama to sign my copy of Bucky O'Hare (already signed by Michael Golden) and my copy of G.I. Joe #34 (a favorite of mine because I love a good, honorable dogfight). Might try to high-five Doug Jones if he's not too busy, he was a blast last time I met him there. A friend of mine was down with the flu back then and was bummed she couldn't meet him, so Doug had me snap this photo with my crappy flip phone and send it to her with a get well message.

Ghost Racers was my favorite thing to come of Secret Wars, so you've got that going, if nothing else.

It collects all 24 issues on thin as shit paper. It's about as thick as the older 12 - 18 issues HCs for Ennis' series. Recent.

Not buying secret empire but got this issue for pymtron. And that made me rebuy Rage of Ultron which i lent out and never got back. But the store had a promo that let me pick from a few Marvel trades so grabbed FF too. Really good read. I like Hickman F4 books and keep finding good sales for them.

The indi stuff was in a bargain bin for 5$ each and are pretty good too. That Trasfussion has some phenominal art. Its a story where robots have killed everything on earth and only vampires remain and are all starving. A nice flip on a vampire story

Eurofag here. These are my recent purchases from last week. Pretty random mix. Ravian n.1 is kind of meh but enjoyable enough and the first volume of a famous old french series that influenced Star Wars. The Eagles of Rome was really good, I'm going to buy all 5 of them. Red Knight n. 13 is good old fashioned comfy Red Knight, nothing special but always nice and in any case way better than the modern RK issues. Haven't read the Buck Danny yet.

I live in a shitty basement so I haven't taken any pictures, but I have a fairly modest print collection alread. Alabaster, Nedroid, David Petersen, Michel Gagne, Andy Price Tessa Fowler, Stupidfox, Ichabod the Optimistic Canine, and a couple Mall prints already.

I'm looking for something from Beasts of Burden specifically right now. Waiting for Meg Park to release another batch, and I'd kill for Kerascoet to print a couple. I've also been looking to buy a barbucci/Canepa print or two, but even though I love their art and stories, none of their prints really fit in with the rest of my collection that's largely animal and landscape based.

Mall's my favorite, but Nedroid's Ghost Woods is probably second. I might get David Petersen's insect quadtych soon too.

you really don't have to tell people about Valerian here, the Star Wars connection is well known and there's an upcoming movie, which starts... oh... in 30 days...

>Was Conan a comic before it was a movie then?
Yes. The first Conan comics were done by Marvel during the late Silver Age/early Bronze Age, particularly by Roy Thomas, but Arnie (first movie was released in 1982) is still Conan's face for 99% of people even remotely familiar with the character.
The original pulp stories were written by Robert E. Howard in the 1930s and their prose is magnificent, I warmly recommend them to everyone.

out of the bunch, Conquest is still the cheapest if you order it at places which do the Marvel sale

https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/02/09/marvel-liquidiate-almost-fifty-omnibus-titles-comic-shops/

if you're from europe, check cheap-comics.com (just noticed prices must have gone up there, I got mine for €39,50, now it's at €49.50).
dunno which american shop does the sale, too, because IST sure does not, Conquest is still at $69 (which is still pretty cheap compared to the prices you usually pay on amazon).

Hamiltonbooks is literally throwing away some expensive books again:

https://www.hamiltonbook.com/absolute-green-lantern-sinestro-corps-war -> $29.95
https://www.hamiltonbook.com/dc-one-million-omnibus -> $29.95

Their search is a bit shitty though (if you search for "marvel masterworks" you only get 3 results, if you just search for "marvel" then there's a lot more masterworks results in it, also refine the search right away by searching for graphic novels, search for the writer's name or even better, the ISBN code). Also some DC Archives are available for piss-cheap, too, for example of the Plastic Man Archives vol 3-8 for $9.95.

Sadly, they only deliver to adresses in America, not even Canada.

I've had my shelf called shit before. And while i DO have some shit books that i grabbed on a whim i tend to think it was cause either i don't have many matching books. I have very little complete runs. Or just cause i don't buy omnis. I like to take my books and read them not at home and omnis are terrible for that. Either that or they saw some of my bad Marvel books. But fuck em i think i paid full price for maybe 5 of those and thats to qualify for a deal usually....maybe the only one that wasn't for a discount was K&Y X-Force. Most of the rest was $5 trades.

I got most of my shelf on the cheap. So fuck if you call it shit, i paid a quarter of what most people do and i find some really good books overlooked by most people

Frank In 3D is "just" Woodring Frank drawings in 3D, with a fucking incredibly groovy pair of Woodring-designed 3D specs included and it's like one of those board books you had when you were a kid--really really thick "card", sturdy as fuck. I had to research--the drawings were done especially for this edition (and quite beautiful they are, too).

The Lost Art Of ah Pook is Here is fucking stunning. Can't remember seeing anything like it...no words, though (apparently Fanta couldn't license the words, even though they were published 30-odd years ago)--but not like you need them to appreciate the amazing art.

And Sticks Angelica is really, really good--I'm a BIIIIIIIIG Deforge fan but Big Kids left me so utterly disillusioned--I know it was a webcomic completed before Big Kids but shit it's his latest published work-and it's really very good. Beautiful art, black and salmon coloured, really effective, gorgeous looking and very well put together (I mean the panel breakdowns/layouts). If Lose 8 keeps up the trend then my faith in Deforge will be restored. I mean I can't tell you how much I despised Big Kids. I've read (recent) Batman comics that I've enjoyed more than that P.O.S

I don't think they fucked it up, just (Grove?) wouldn't give it to them! It's weird, it's kind of a palimpsest like the Naked Lunch manuscript or something! In fact it reminds me a bit of Pim & Francie: Golden Bear Days in that there's ripped up pages, dog-eared pages, smudged paint, taped-together pages...like I said very beautiful (McNeil was twenty-fucking THREE when he started the project!), there's finished drawings he did from the Dresden Codex in the British Museum, a big chunk of the Mayan calendar and...just all this wild fucking shit. Nutty character designs. Red mutant sexboys with big knives and green Mayan deathgods, all sortsa good shit. Many, many whole double splash pages that just take the breath away completely..a real feast for the eyes. As good as, say, Frazetta, easily. And yeah I know that's a biiiigg fucking claim but I really can't think of anything like it. Maybe Burroughs/McNeil were influenced by Moorcock's Elfric, if not then there are some real similarities there (and I know WSB and Moorcock were correspondents). In the look of some of the mutant boys and everything. I was lucky to pick it up for half cover price from my LCS, it's been there about 3 years and as a Burroughs fan I wanted it but as a comics fan there was always stuff I wanted more. But the sale came and I snatched it (I've seen it go for silly prices on e-Bay). Glad I did. Gonna keep it with my /co/ collection as opposed to my /lit/ collection, though. Between Gerald Scarfe and Jim Woodring.....

Everyone shut the fuck up real quick, so I was at the market and saw this. I didn't buy it because it looked cheap and disorganized and that ain't me, I only do high quality image files, but then again I'm likely not the audience for this.

See, I recall a bunch of people in a bunch of What's Wrong With Comics threads complaining about how one of the problems was specialty/hobby/comic shops locking off the sale of titles to the general public who are not privy to go into those dens. Do you think this will honestly make a blip though? It seemed to actually be selling decently compared to the other stuff on the racks, but it's not exactly a trade, it didn't seem to be a writer based collection just a bunch of stuff thrown together. You know, being a digest and all.
Now I don't know how long this has been going on, don't really care, but I'm not sure it will pay off if the proper presentation isn't put into it to.

I mean I got into Deadpool because someone way back bothered to storytime and link to the Kelly stuff here, if I found a digest full of mostly Way material instead I don't think I'd be too keen on the concept. Discuss.
>>
>>93327828
It's been going on for only a few days, I saw a couple articles about it

I don't think it will make a difference but it's a step in the right direction. It's not even published by Marvel, it's done in conjunction with Archie because they're the only publishers who don't have an exclusive deal with Diamond. So even if it does well, there's little chance many more will come from it desu

Also it seems to have a really strange mix of comics eras in it, I know it has a Ditko story and I can see that really turning casuals away
>>
>>93327917
>It's not even published by Marvel, it's done in conjunction with Archie
Just read a bit of one of the articles now, I'm not sure if I should feel a certain way Sonic died before this. I guess that ship was fated to sink one way or another though.
>>
>>93321258
Well, shit, I might have to make an order now. And you can pay by check? Hmm.
>>
>>93327917
>I know it has a Ditko story
Also now that you've cleared that up I feel I need to clarify I don't mean to construe Way's writing with Lee, I mean to imply if Marvel continues making digests without a carefully picked and cohesive theme someone might come across the wrong thing before the right.
Not to say certain material should never get put out, just that it could probably be considered for later.

Also by cheap I meant material wise, which is to be expected but still, if it's not the Highest of D I'm just not doing it. Each panel has to take up a 4K monitor. Splash pages so larger than life they need VR goggles to navigate.

>tfw no DC Epic collections
they're called "showcase" and there are 5 of them.
alternatively there are 13 archive editions (like Marvel masterworks). The silver age omnibus is going to collect archives 01-03.
the 5 showcases collect archives 01-12 1/2 (for whatever reason).
there was so far a huge gap between the archives and the Great Darkness Saga deluxe edtion but they seem to want to fill that too now, since there's another collection coming out in summer called Superboy and the Legion of Super Heroes Vol 1 (like in, there's more to come)
Keep in mind though, if you compare silver age DC with silver age Marvel, DC is usually pretty horrible. those stories aren't good. yes, they establish a lot of Legion lore, but they are seriously not so good. won't stop me from collecting them, but still, be warned.
if you really want to get into it, get the silver age omni. don't collect the archives, they are OOP, some are cheap, but some, like archive 13, cost you $150+,
some of the archives are scanned, most of the rest you have to collect together by yourself with scans and rips.
one of these days I will actually make a list...
>>
>>93328658
no wait, epic collections were something else. I thought you meant those essential B&W collections and their counterparts are the showcases. no there isn't really something like that right now except for the archives but now that DC is doing those golden/silver age omnis, you can maybe compare them.

>>
>>93330509
Lost interest in what, the comic? The comic's a pretty decent adaptation for someone who's read the book already, but it's going to read a lot better in trade because it's got A LOT of ground to cover so the pacing is necessarily going to be slow. I don't recommend reading it monthly for someone new to the story. Either read the book, watch the show, or wait for the comic to finish.

Not a "so dark and gritty" real but no one was romantized to be bigger than what they really were. Like how his dad didn't escape capture cause of how brave/smart/clever he was, but merely cause he had enough to bribe and hide as long as he could.
I guess having that be something truly real, not dramatized for extra flair, gave me this big enjoyment of it.

Uncanny X-force at a used book shop for 27 dollars, check on Amazon, it's 275. Feels good man
>>
>>93364863
Lucky prick. Also, how is the quality of the Stray Bullets omni?
>>
>>93364978
Not him but it's pretty shit desu, I love the series and read through the omni once and by the end it felt like it was gonna fall apart. It definitely couldn't take more than a couple readings. The trades are more expensive but well worth it imo

SB is one of the worst-collected modern series imo, still no fucking sunshine and roses trades
>>
>>93364978
Ehhh, it's nice to have it all (but not really anymore) in one spot but it's the same build as the trades just smushed together and really heavy, the pages at dead center are pulling out of the glue. It's an awesome price point, brand new I think it was 40 dollars from Barnes and Noble
>>
>>93365107
>>93365132
Thanks, pretty disappointing to know. The Invincible and SCUD collections are pretty solid, but I guess Image isn't always consistent. Heard the Black Science hardcovers are shit, too.
>>
>>93364671
Amazon, but you can also order everything in print at any book store.

Amazon's currently great for second-hand books of anything that was released during the 90s. They sell that shit for pennies right now, which is great for me as I can get all the series I used to read as a kid&teenager for practically nothing.

For the Italian stuff (that I got stored away some other place) I usually use the company's webshops.
>>
>>93365506
The paper stock is kind of weird on black science. It's a strange size too, maybe an inch and half taller than most other "regular" omnibi. I think it's not Image per se, the team has way more say over there in how shit gets put together. All my stuff from Hickman and fraction at image is super high quality but they aren't really using any color either so saving money that way. Seeing as how stray bullets is a pretty DIY thing and and most everyone that gets the singles gets the omnibi maybe they wanted to keep the price down. If you're not on a budget I'd do what the other anon said and get all the trades.
>>
>>93365107
>read through the omni once and by the end it felt like it was gonna fall apart

I went ahead and found another pic, one where you can see it better and is also not just for ants.
As you can see, the bottom one is different from the rest. The problem here is that most of the ones I have (including some of the ones in that pile, like A&A, XOM and Harbinger) have the spine design of the bottom one. The only ones that don't are Bloodshot vol. 1, the one on the very top, and Quantum and Woody vol. 1, the very same bottom one. I would post pics but I'm quite far away from my shelf.
Valiant changed things around at some point, or it's a case of differentiating between an earlier printing and a later one. I wanted to know which "type" of spine is more common/easier to get and if there's a way to figure out which one is being sold online without asking the seller but, as I've already said, no-one in the thread but me seems to give a rat's ass about Valiant (and while we're at it, why is that, exactly? Were all those people recommending it really just paid shills?).
>>
>>93366099
I don't say that regularly, I can't think of any other books I've had that issue with except the old newsprint Vertigo trades

Pages will straight up fall out of the stray bullets omni, it's way too big for a paperback and fucking glued binding

How's the Doom Patrol silver age omnibus? 50 bucks on IST right now. Never been too into capes, but Doom Patrol's one I've been interested in.
>>
>>93369364
but we congratulated OP to being not a fag, what is your point?
>>
>>93369828
It's Silver Age, so there's going to be lots and lots of exposition and words plus it's most likely not like the modern Morrison-re-imagining of Doom Patrol
>>
>>93369877
I haven't read it yet, but I thought Doom Patrol was always on the weird side, or is that not true until later on? I've read some silver age, so I'm familiar with the story telling style. I was also curious on the book's quality and if it was the entire run or just selected issues, or what. I've only ever bought Hellblazer and the Sandman Absolute editions for DC - and those are actually Vertigo, so I'm not sure on the quality of most of their books. Not gonna pay fifty bucks if it's going to fall apart on my first reading, for example.
>>
>>93369961
It's always been offbeat and odd, though not precisely in a Vertigo-ish way.
In Drake's day that meant mixing the usual Superhero faire with Sitcom laffs and heavy looks at what it feels like to be a freak.
>>
Got me a bunch of random floppy issues from Vertigo's "Swamp Thing", including an arc by the then newcomersMiller & Morrison.. They are now my current toilet reading material.

Started reading American Gods and have a discounted Chris Ware's "Jimmy Corrigan" in my night table.
>>
>>93370066
Well, that sounds just delightful. It's all up on readcomiconline so I'll look at a few issues before I grab it. Is the book itself good enough quality to justify the price?
>>
>>93369961
>and if it was the entire run or just selected issues
It contains My Greatest Adventure vol 1 #80-85, The Doom Patrol Vol 1 #86-121 and The Brave and the Bold Vol 1 #65, which is pretty much the exact amount of stuff that's contained in the 2 Showcases and in the 5 archives as well, but the showcases are black and white and the archives are probably OOP (that's why they're re-collecting that stuff after all).
At first glance it seems like it's starting right in the middle, but it's basically containing everything. Doom Patrol Vol 1 actually starts at #86 because it was called My Greatest Adventure before that, similar to how Superboy turned into Superboy Starring the Legion of Super-Heroes, then Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes, then just Legion of Super-Heroes.
>>
>>93370292
The IST listing says Doom Patrol up to 124, and that's what Readcomiconline has as the last Doom Patrol issue. Is this one of those weird numbering things? My autism would be triggered if it was just missing the last three from an entire run.
>>
>>93370746
Hard to tell. Dccomics.com says it collects My Greatest Adventure #80-85 and Doom Patrol #86-124, without that Brave and the Bold or Challengers of the Unknown

>>
>>93381675
honestly, if it were just a few books I wouldn't have. But that much...too much goreporn...I don't mind a bit of it but that much disturbs me.
>>
>>93381803
After 4-5 volumes you just kind of tune out the gore. At least in the bad stories. In the good ones it would still occasionally get me, but most of the time I was just numb to it. But, if you ever want to know which stories are good and which are garbage, I've read them all.
>>
>>93381675
I pass no judgement on you anon, but Ennis is pure garbage and, imo, a perfect illustration of where American comics have gone terribly wrong.

Sometime in the 90's the pros got confused and thought comics should actually be targeted at "sophisticated" adults instead of making stupid kids' stuff and just marketing it as if it were for adults.

There is nothing more dangerous than buying into your own marketing bullshit, and comics did that so long ago it's been forgotten.
Look at all the floundering over the last decade, they have legitimately forgotten who their audience is.
>>
>>93381984
Ennis does have some good stuff. Fury MAX and Dangerous Habits are great. I just hate when he goes for goreporn

and comics should never try to stick to a single demographic, that's why there is such a small market for them in north america. The comic form is a medium, not a genre and not for a certain demographic.
>>
>>93369830
>expecting a furfag to not be retarded
>>
>>93381984
Ehh... I gotta disagrwe with you there. I think saying comics should be aimed at kids is an incredibly limiting sentence that sells the artistic potential of comics incredibly short. Despite my lack of respect for crossed as a whole (I'll stand by certain story arcs as worthwhile) I think pointing to that as why comits shouldn't be geared towards adults is narrow as all hell. It's kinda like saying books should be aimed at adult men because twilight blows and that was aimed at teen girls. No medium should entirely dedicate itself to any one demographic.
>>
>>93382036
I would argue the original crossed arc wasn't actually goreporn. Despite certainly featuring some harrowing images it's a lot slower and smarter than people give it credit for. Obviously though after that original arc it went full goreporn for almost every story.
>>
>>93382036
>and comics should never try to stick to a single demographic, that's why there is such a small market for them in north america. The comic form is a medium, not a genre and not for a certain demographic.
Now you're just making stuff up. The market is small because the demo you're talking about is the only one that is interested in spending on comics.
>>
>>93382094
Twilight sells, anon. Just like comics used to.
>>
>>93382159
that's just an accident of history though anon. It's not like that in other places like France and Japan. There is nothing inherent in the medium that makes it a target for demographics.

wew, get a better spellcheck

But you can't use that argument for saying comics target a smaller demographic. That's not how logic system work. I just need an example of it proving you wrong for proof, and I have 2 countries, there are other ways I can make the argument too. Mad and Playboy, those are targeted at an older audience.

In order to make an argument it has to follow logic rules.

>Also, The Multiversity. Is the Deluxe Edition the exact same as the paperback, just hardcover?
According to Amazon, both are 448 pages.
The deluxe HC is hardcover (duh) and the inside of the dust jacket has the map of the multiverse.

Slow down on your rush to the winner's circle anon, two examples is a shit sample size. SHIT.
I can show you a hundred countries that have no comics industry at all. What does that prove?

Also, I am not advocating marketing to a smaller demo. I am advocating selling comics to people who buy comics. In fact I think comics should be sold so aggressively to that demo that they buy so many that it raises the level of everyone's sales and there is room for your shitty goreporn to survive as well.

>spellcheck
Fuck yourself, just a little.
>>
>>93382938
having no comic industry only means that there is no market penetration. Nothing more. This isn't about sample size, it's about constructing a proper logical argument.

Some markets have an industry that spans all demographics = the medium can target all markets

Just cause most places show that it HASN'T penetrated all markets and demographics != it can't

>not about sample size
You are unbelievably full of shit.

statistics and sample sizes have nothing to do with the argument. It's one that is answered best by symbolic logic.

Yes but why are they on the floor?

Went to the LCS for the first time in forever and they were having a buy 2 get "10" free on Marvel TPBs and HCs.
Got this, plus my buddy picked out three things, only ended up paying $25.

I like those x-men except for Carey's stuff. Didn't care for that. I keep contemplating that Ellis trade, I have his 2 other X-men ones but the art in that one turns me off, especially coming off of Bianchi and Jimenz

Are you already a fan of The Stand in book form? Because I went into the comic blind, and thought it was pretty bad

DC's deluxe editions are usually in a larger format than the tpbs. The size of a single page is as large as in an Omni.

The Germans have been releasing some really good war comics the last couple of years and at least one excellent comic about civies under fascism, so I figured I might just get this one. Could be a right-wing series though, but whatever.

Other than that... Orbital's sweet, so I got the books I was still missing and I really like the artists on the job for The Mermaid Project.

Jiro Taniguchi is pretty much the only man in the business who's regularly writing manly comics without any of the usual toxic BS and I think this one's also an animal story.

like anyone would release it here then, come on...
>>
>>93384738
I like the book, but it, The Dark Tower, and Dark Avengers Siege, and two that I gave to my buddy were part of what the dealer gives you for buying 2.
I only got to pick 5 of the free books, I wouldn't have picked any of the stuff he gave me.
>>
>>93385111
Yeah, they even chickened out on Red Eyes...
>>

I just picked up Orbital too, really liked it so going back for more. It was discount binned

This showed up today, and I'm probably going to order the next to volumes soon. Too bad that The Coming of Starro seems to be so hard to find at a reasonable price.
>>
>>93385398
Eh, everybody dies eventually. What matters is that I got A Distant Neighbourhood.
>>
>>93385891
Got all 4 as set from cheap-comics.com for... €12 I think
>>
>>93386277
I'm the wrong kind of eurofag so shipping would be something like 15 euros for me. But it's probably still better than a lot of other alternatives, so thanks for the tip!
>>
>>93386415
Make a bulk order for €200 or something their Omni and Absolute prices are mostly regular except for the stuff that's on sale but some of their HCs anf TPBs are piss-cheap. Put aomething into the basket and then go to the checkout, it shows additional even cheaper stuff then which is supposed to be a last-minute offer before you finalize it, but you can exploit that right away.
>>
>>93385178
The only thing I'm afraid of is that it's going to age badly.

It's a very political series and those tend to become harder and harder to read the further you get away from the period they were written for.
>>
>>93386706
Politics doesn't change that much though. And even when it does, if you have a historical reference point it doesn't matter. Plenty of old books are relevant or just plain enjoyable still
>>
>>93386608
I've been looking around a little and found some other trades I've been looking for so I'm probably going to do that, some of their late 80s/early 90s trades are so cheap that they almost make up for the shipping on their own.
