bump for the rewrite of hystory!

I guess I'll be the first one to give this thread a genuine answer.
They're a little disappointing. They had a whole book devoted just to retelling the Telltale game and another devoted just to telling Biff's life in the Alt-'84 where he kills George and builds the casino. The original story isn't much better.
There was a neat couple issues though exploring how Marty feels about the fact that his memories from before the first movie are of a totally different life than the one he has now where his family is successful and happy instead of white trash.

That's just the spin-off series, I think Anon is wondering about the main series.

That was probably my favorite story arc so far outside of the first 5 issues. My biggest complaint so far was they teased but didn't answer the question every hardcore BttF fan wants to know: What happened to the Marty from the "new" 1985?

You mean QUADrilogy. The Telltale Games are canon.

Telltale Game isn't canon to the comics. When IDW did the miniseries based on the comic, Bob Gale went out of his way and dedicated a full page to explain how the game wasn't connected to the comics.
The game is good by itself though.

Technically, he and our Marty should be the same person. Marty's memories should've slowly faded away and turned into memories of growing up with a successful writer father the same way the figures in the photo slowly disappeared.
The big problem with the whole arc in the comic is not only does it raise a question that goes against how all the time travel in BttF works, it then immediately ignores the whole thing in favor of introducing and focusing on some shitty OC villain who steals Doc's time travel tech instead.
And then out of nowhere throws a one-shot issue into the middle of it about fucking Needles.

Well of course! Didn't you want to know the amazing backstory of the most important characters of the whole trilogy?
HOW THE FUCK DID OLD BIFF KNOW HOW TO OPERATE THE TIME MACHINE IN 2015 WHEN HE STOLE IT TO GO BACK IN TIME?
WHAT THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
