How does it do that? With fart jokes and pop culture references and making everything look like sex organs? I'm not really seeing where it's pretending to greater importance or culture here. Everything in it is either meant to be funny or is about character drama. Creators made it clear they were having disagreements as to where the series should be going. I read we're not getting inter dimensional cable anymore so I think Dan put his foot down with regards to the type of humor Justin is used to and that led to everything getting delayed. Beyond that, it just shows Adult Swim is OK letting creators take their time. Same with Boondocks and Venture Bros. If it means a better show so be it. Season two definitely had some shit episodes so if they can get their asses on the same page I think the show can officially kick itself into a proper golden age.
