Different types of magic. Daolon Wong could summon shadowkhan, but aside from that his powers weren't terribly impressive by Potterverse standards. Uncle had a focus on defeating dark chi, hence he kept defeating Daolon Wong.

If Uncle, Daolon, and a Potterverse wizard fought, it would probably go rock-paper-scissors: Uncle defeats Daolon, Daolon defeats or draws with Potterverse (barely), and Potterverse defeats Uncle, unless the Potterverse is a death eater in which case Uncle has the upper hand.

Nah, his magic is ancient magic meaning it's strong as shit but also slow and super specific and hard to do. Yeah Uncle is great if you need to exercise a demon lord from our plane of existence but he doesn't have any instantaneous combat or support spells, just rituals that take weirdly specific ingredients/wordings
