So why did /co/ hate this again? I just read the latest Win-O-Thread compilation and it's really quite good. There are a few instances of Bendis Speak but the art is good and the characterizations are fine. Was it just nostalgia for the DnA Guardians that made people hate it?

It's like if it was written by a movie executive who had never read a Guardians story but wanted to make a pitch anyways. It gets enough shit wrong to feel like one of those crappy early 2000 pitches for a movie adaptation.

And yet in the issues I read the team dynamic was quite good. The rest of the team walking out on Pete after he lied to them about Thanos seemed spot on and Rocket being horrified when their ship was blown up was great.

Bendis comics always read better collected, it's reading it month to month that makes it feel like nothing really happens....
