Is rebels actually good?

S01 is shit
S02 is half shit
S03 i gave up after the first 5 episodes.

It never gets to clone wars levels of epic. Only perhaps some scenes, and not on their own (they use characters from elsewhere to get to that point).

Yes. Everyone who worked on it, save for most of the voice actors, worked on TCW.

No, they didn't. The cancelled TCW because:

1). Each episode of TCW cost millions to produce, which is something Disney was not willing to risk. Each episode cost more than it made because it was George Lucas' passion project. He didn't care about what he gained and was more than willing to foot in as much as it took out of his own pocket to make each episode as perfect as it could be.

2). None of TCW staff wanted to continue the series without George because they felt it wouldn't have been right to do so. He was the creative drive and heart behind the series. Any attempt to continue would've just been a hollow effort.
Rebels is a good series and has more influence on current Star Wars lore than any other title save for the saga films. It's definitely something you'd be disservicing yourself to miss if you're a Star Wars fan.
