She could have study partners or group assignments but how many of her class/schoolmates would actually be friends with her and it wouldn't be awkward?

she either goes to a community college or a state college, and either way, unless you go full dormnorm, it's pretty difficult to go out and make friends, especially since she's making that commute as a 10 year old, and she probably puts in a lot of effort to keep that far ahead
with the age and hormonal differences it's hard to make friends without that being awkward
she could probably join a club or something though, but honestly, college in general, I mostly only interacted with classmates at an acquaintance level and the only people I got remotely close to were a few of my room-mates and people I found out had similar interest in video games and manga/comics
but I mean she's a side-character in a show that seems more marketed to 20-30 yo women than kids even about cute bears doing cute things
also group assignments in college (and even lower school levels) are a recipe for resentment for anyone that takes school seriously
I've only seen one episode of WBB but isn't she in college? It probably would be weird yeah. Not necessarily weird for her, but for her classmates because I don't think college kids would want to hang out with a child.
Also, is WBB good? I enjoyed the one episode I saw but considering it's modern CN I feel skeptical.

the only people she'd make friends with would be sexual predators like me who would want to take advantage of her

It have good comfy episodes, and some really bad episodes.
Any episode related to internet culture it's garbage.
Ice bear basically carries the show.

she will never hear these words:
"you're invited to X's pool party."

I dunno' I found the episode about panda's dakimakura to be kind of funny, but as a general rule that seems about right
