That month, however, had only four Wednesdays, while this May had five New Comic Book Days. Last May was also one of the weakest months of the year, a "holding pattern" month in advance of Civil War II and DC's Rebirth. But it's the first up month since October 2016, so we'll take it.

Me and my friends have been enjoying Secret Empire so far, I'm the biggest Cap fanboy of the group and I'm perfectly fine seeing him playing the part of the villain for a bit.

Never understood the buttrage over the event, it's the most I've been entertained by Marvel since some time, even if I agree that they need to fuck off with events for a while.

Probably not. Combined Lenticular/regular covers beat out a #0 issue in April. #0 issues sell considerably less than #1 issues.

I can't get mad of Secret Empire doing well. I hate event comics these days but it was set up a long time ago and it's decently written. Even though i only read issue one and Pymtron i actually bought cause I'm a Pynfag and been collecting his stuff since he merged with Ultron.

Discount through Diamond is depending on how much you spent, but anyone buying 1000 of one book is probably paying the minimum. I believe tthe discount is 55-60%

A smaller stores discount is probably only 25-30%, so they're not going to bother with a variant like this.

This I'm not a big fan of. Venom fucking sucks, Mission Breakout consists of old timers who are way pass their prime. All-New GOTG seems that it's building up to be not that bad though.

It is impressive how much garbage Marvel can release, and people still buy it in huge numbers. I know there's this whole thing about Marvel supposedly stumbling, but the shops buying this crap from Diamond don't seem to have heard.

I'm okay with it - if people want to buy tons of Marvel shit, it keeps comic shops alive and that helps keep actual good comics available.
