Post Em'
I was fucking terrified of this teaser. Whenever I wanted to watch Buzz Lightyear of Star Command on VHS, I'd quickly leave the room once this came on in the previews.

Can't say that was what terrified me, but I can pretty much say I avoided watching scared out of my mind watching cruella drive like a mad woman after the dalmations.

That trailer doesn't seem so scary, Anon.

That being said, while I never saw the cartoon of 101 Dalmatians, I remember this moment from the first live action moment scared me the first time I saw it.

I remember The Black Cauldron and Anastasia scared me a lot as a kid, though.
>>
>>93240397
That's why I said "irrationally scared". I don't know what my problem was, as the cartoon version of Cruella is objectively scarier.
I just know we had all kinds of stupid shit that scared us for no good reason.
>>
>>93240039
Holy shit this used to make uncomfortable too. Are you me? That scene where she fucking loses it especially.

Somehow I missed the title. And I have my glasses on.

holy shit

How crazy would she go if she saw one of these?

trailers and idents for stuff on VHS are a prime source of stuff that creeped me out as a kid for no reason. Like this trailer for a stop motion film about the life of Jesus that came on before Thomas and the Magic Railroad for some reason

The gumby movie. Specifically the way the dog cried pearls. Something about a hard substance coming out of his lacrimal glands wigged me the fuck out. Maybe that was the start of my irrational sinus phobia. Man, fuck sinuses. Seriously.

in fact, basically everything in this video gets to me. Not exactly in a creeping me out kinda way, but in this intense feeling of not quite nostalgia, but distant memories of a time gone by from when I was really young, like around 4-5 years old. This is just an example, but I'm sure I could find plenty of these kinds of videos for all sorts of stuff I used to have on VHS.

Some Arthur episode where a girl on TV karate chopped a car in half freaked the fuck out of me

Are Disney On Ice shows still a thing? My brothers and I loved Hercules a lot as children, so much that we went to see some production of Hercules On Ice. The Hydra was like some kind of parade float that had necks that moved up and down, and it scared the fuck out of me for some reason. The cartoon version never even bothered me.

This fucker hunted my dreams for weeks after I watched the movie. And the opening music to this old horror anthology known as 'Tales from the Dark Side'.
>>
>>93240580
That's because claymation is really fucking creepy. The way they move just looks like horror incarnate.
>>
Growing up I was a huge scardy cat. I was so scared and parnoid I was mentally ill. I was too scared to watch Tree House of Horror until I was a teenager. Interestingly enough Courage never really scared me, just creeped me out a little. Now that I'm older I've been desensitized to the point where I am a completely different person. 4chan also helped with that.
>>
>>93240704
it wasn't the claymation part, I used to love Wallace and Gromit and other Aardman stuff at about a similar age. In that trailer it is a lot creepier due to how realistic it's trying to look, but there was something else about it back then.

This, https://youtu.be/I5rYe0yFFN8 and to a greater extent, Dafoe's Goblin.

>*BOOP BOOP BOOP*
Little me wasn't having that shit, dude. I'd turn off whatever I was watching and play PS2 or watch a movie instead.

>>93241004
I'll never get why some people are so scared of local tv warning messages.

Not /co/ related but in the movie A.I. Artificial Intellegence when the main chracters face slowly meltad when he ate food becuase that kid kept on making faces with food in his mouth scared the ever living shit out of me when i rewateched the movie on dvd when i was 10. Something similar in the first fantastic 4 movie when Reed went into the machine to fix himself and his face looked like he was slowly melting also freaked me out when i went to see the movie, to this day I refuse to watch both movies. Ironically I can handle the face melting scene in raiders of the lost ark

I live in coastal Texas so that shit meant possible floods, tornadoes, something coming in from the gulf, etc. I didn't need that shit coming up on me when I was trying to watch the Simpsons, man.

Puppets count, right?

Anyways, I used to love the hell out of E.T. when I was a kid. Then the power in my house went out while watching the movie and I thought the ayy lmao had done it himself. What led afterwards was a series of vivid nightmares of E.T. visiting me and I couldn't even look at my toys in fear of experiencing them again. Even hearing the score would trigger me into plugging my ears and tuning it out. I don't know if you'd call it PTSD, but it sure as fuck felt like it.

The Shrek VHS had a trailer for the movie, which even seeing it again unnerves me. I can't be the only one who thought he was uncanny af.

why does it linger at the end. this is not irrational it was inanimate for the rest of the video

South Texas here, it's almost always a Flash flood.
>>
>>93241036
This, I always found them cozy. Probably because it still has a retro aesthetic to it, the sound's nostalgic and it's like your TV's a little robot giving you a heads up.

There was a song in one of the many shitty cartoon movies that were broadcasted in the public tv equivalent in my country that creeped me the fuck out, it wasn't scary but for some reason it made me nervous and felt like something was coming to get me. I had forgotten about it until a few years ago when I hear it in car passing by the street. I do not remember how did it go and what movie was I watching when I heard it (thought I am sure I would recognize it immediately)

Has someone else been creeped out by totally inofensive songs?

I used to be hypersensitive to sound as a kid and god knows whatever reason, I was nervous of the Beetlejuice theme song when I was 5:
