The one thing missing from Wonder Woman has been a really good, modern non-comics adaptation that all the people who can't be arsed to pick up a comic can look to and say "that's Wonder Woman". Whereas everyone from Batman to Big Barda has had a really good, well-liked movie or cartoon version in this century Wonder Woman hasn't gotten that.

As much as people like to claim they read comics, most just don't, or at least not the ones that aren't super popular, and most people won't bother to do their research. Now you have an extremely accessible movie so that everyone can know who the character is, it's going to do wonders for her.

Also, am I the only one who noticed the meta narrative going on with Artemis' arc in RHatO? Her signature weapon is a bow, that's her thing. This whole time, she's been working to retrieve a part of her very identity, punctuated by that bit of narration about the bow "becoming" her when she finally picks it up.

I'm not usually one to care about themes, but that was neat.

There have been a few interesting retcons, the 'He was off his meds" is a popular one, but during the Trial of Hank Pym, he was being written as an abusive spouse, shouting and belittling Janet.

Until he actually slapped her, at which point he became a hobo and his life deteriorated worse and worse from there.

It's a pretty neat comic with a fairly satisfying end.

Tbh one of the best part of the trial is how the avengers try to deal with it. Janet decides to up herself and nominates herself to be the Avengers leader, Cap keeps it together like a champ and always maintains a good persona (something that hasn't been a thing since Civil War pulled a characer assasination on him), everyone has something to say in the matter. In the very comic they were concluding Pym may be going insane for real.

While it definitely isn't Dark Pheonix tier, it's as classic as Avengers can get and it's rather infuriating how the themes behind the arc got reduced to "lol wifebeater"
